You do have a point there - never bet on the inability of someone to make a move in their own self interest!

It would be one of the worst examples that I can think of - maybe finding someone who happens to be gay who saves a bus load of nuns from decapitating a truck full of orphaned kittens and bashing him for his sexuality. Maybe that would be a worse move.
