Date: 2011-05-09 03:59 am (UTC)There are many factors at play when it comes to the voting every week. I would never claim that it is any one reason for this person staying in and that person going out.
I have a few folks I'm loyal to, but for the most part I am voting based on the weekly output, not on their body of work. If someone I usually really like puts out a dud entry (in comparison to what they usually write; that doesn't necessarily mean their entry sucks), I can't vote for it immediately. I may, however, add a vote to them closer to poll close if they're at risk and I prefer their entry to others that are at risk.
