:slaps forehead: Oh yeah, I just mention it as though everyone knows what I'm talking about...gah. I'm getting my seasons mixed up.

I had it removed at the beginning of Season 5. Basically it was a goiter that went haywire and ended up killing half the gland. The other half was barely functional. It was a toss-up whether to have a partial or total, so I went for the latter. My parathyroids were injured during the operation so now I have chronic hypocalcemia on top of everything else :p
