When I was on one of my visits to Portland in April, I met up with a girl that I befriended in kindergarten. And, the strange thing is, even though I drifted and changed and all of that--every time an old school mate finds me on Facebook, it's really cool. Despite any old animosity, we have a lot of shared history, and I think that kind of thing matters a lot. We all knew each other and the same teachers and local figures and places...

And it's cool to see how we've all grown and changed over the years... and how most of us have matured into compassionate adults.
