I really can't complain too much personally. I work per diem, so I can take off pretty much when I want (with a few limitations based on whatever projects I'm working on), but I don't get paid for my days off.

My husband works for Disney, which is pretty employee friendly. He gets three weeks of vacation per year plus two personal days. They can't be carried over. In 2012 he'll be bumped up to 4 weeks of paid vacation per year. I'm looking forward to it! It seems like three weeks isn't even enough lately.
