I just want to say thanks for sticking up for the remaining writers! I know there are people who have been eliminated who are definitely amazing writers and could have made it further, but it's not fair to take away from every person remaining by getting huffy and labeling it a "popularity contest"

Hell, I'm certainly not popular. I think maybe five of my friends at best are members of the community who aren't in the contest. I would be personally insulted if someone decided I skirted by through popularity and not because someone liked what I wrote at least enough to give me a shot.
