A Message to Players

I am sitting here, thinking about how people support each other, in competitions and in life. Real tears began flowing down my face when I realized that, no matter what happens, we will be losing some incredibly talented writers this round.

I wanted to tell you, all of you, that I am proud of how players support other players, regardless of how they do it.

It might be offering to edit an entry before it goes out to the general public. It might be valid feedback, even in the face of rejection. It might be a show of support when life comes first.

And it might be voting in support of an ideal, as a group, in an alliance.

I am writing this anonymously for a reason. Who I am (player, former player, watcher, voter, random stranger stopping in to stir things up) doesn't matter.

What does matter is the beautiful thing that has been created here, in this space.

You should all be congratulated.

I just got notice from the IRS about the payments of the Economic Stimulus Act. Between $300 & $600 is nice, but, uh....I need it NOW, not in May.

On the other hand,. if I have a job by then, I can use the money to buy a shiny new theft-protected iPod. So.

Afternoon....
Had a rather productive morning until I had to get into work.
Went to the Social Security Office this morning and thought it was going to be about a 5 block walk after I got off the train. Well it was really about 10 blocks so that made my morning interesting however I did get some exercise. After sitting around there forever and finally being called I opted to take the bus back to work rather then another hike.
