LJ Idol Presents:

Back during Survivor Heroes vs Villains, Parvati Shallow reached a goal that no one in Production had been tracking… but when she mentioned it, they went back, checked her math and confirmed that it was true - that she had reached her 100th day in the game! It was a milestone. 

When they aired it, I started wondering, “Has anyone in Idol reached 100 WEEKS?” and started doing the math.  

The first person to reach that mark was imafarmgirl who made it official on April 16th 2011. Agirlnamedluna was right on her heels hitting 100 weeks on April 23th 2011! 

It was Dec of 2011 before superhappytime joined them, and the weeks started piling on every so often from there. 

At that point I thought “this is the biggest milestone anyone is going to reach”... and I was right, for a very long time. 

Years later, agirlnamedluna would be the first to cross the 150 weeks, and had she lived, I have absolutely no doubt that she would have been the first to cross that 200 line. But she died completing her 159th week.  Which is why that became the new “standard of excellence”, The Luna.

No, I do not have a complete list of every single contestant and the weeks they have competed in, BUT when someone starts getting close, they usually ask… and the ones who don’t, if I notice that they’ve made extended runs over multiple seasons, I usually go and take a look at it out of curiosity. 

Of the 1,000+ contestants who have competed in Idol, only 45 have celebrated the 100th week mark. (Note: I discovered a 46th who will be celebrated in a latter post) 

There are 7 contestants in total who have reached Luna status. 

It’s been a tight race to the 200 week mark between two individuals. I will not be surprised if the second doesn’t end up crossing the line relatively soon as well. (Much like when we hit the 100 mark) 

The contestant who is the first to have survived 200 Weeks in LJ Idol did so “the hard way”... she’s been playing since Season 4 and was the 9TH person to reach 100 Weeks! It wasn’t one or two long runs, it has been consistent excellence. Over the years she's ended up becoming a sort of unofficial welcome wagon!  :)
