My alter ego is going out in some very fine company this week. Damn.

Thanks to everyone who voted for mythingperson week after week as I played with this pesky not-fiction stuff. It's weird, I tell you, weird. Now that I've had some modicum of success with it, I might dabble in it with this name, too, from time to time. :)

Also: WHEW, I'm glad to not be writing two (or four!) things a week anymore.

Yep, that was me! It was seriously hard for me to write personal and non-fictional things. Like, those entries took me at least twice as long every week. But I pulled it off, and I'm feeling pretty good about my run. :)

Thank you! I'm super happy to still be in the game, and reallllly surprised to have made it as far as I did with mythingperson. It was all a big experiment (for science!) and I think it turned out pretty well. :)

You're probably not wrong, but I don't keep those sorts of notes. I can tell you what weeks I went out in each season because of my spreadsheet of topics, but not whom I outlasted.

14th is definitely my highest "ranking" thus far, but with different numbers of people playing each season and the last mini-season, I don't know how it compares.

I have no complaints. One of the things that's changed since my first experiences with Idol is that poetry actually does quite well. I sort of wish now that I'd written two poems!

Aww, thanks! It was just a very competitive week. And I honestly am tickled that my poem got more votes than my children's fiction piece, because poetry is really my thing. Maybe if I play another one of these I'll do something really brave and write nothing but poetry from the start.

You came back from Second Chance Idol, along with recklessblues, which I was really pleased about. People better "got" you, and responded to your stories the way you deserved.

I shared several of these with my husband (including the epic music-rerouting/bowling-fail story, and the Church vs. Football entry), because I knew he'd enjoy them too. I'm so glad you got a chance to write a bunch more of these. :)
