Is fanfic just laziness? People who pick up other people’s toys because they don’t want to bother creating their own?

Why can’t Spider-man be gay? Just take a standard white heterosexual character and change them into something more "diverse". Because people are people.

Bullying makes people stronger, and the people destroyed by it weren’t going to amount to anything regardless.

Asexuals don’t exist. Much like Atheists and Yetis.

Why is your Mom so ugly? Why is your Dad so ugly? Why don’t your ugly parents love you?

Erm... as a fanficcer, I can say that some of it is an excess of love for a show/movie/etc. And some of the first fanfics I wrote were because there were gaping holes in motive/etc. for the characters that begged to be fleshed out. *koff*

My profile still says that I have no imagination, though, which was another reason for fanficcing. Heck, the whole reason I joined Idol in S8 was to challenge myself to write original fiction! The insanity was just a bonus. Or something.

You know, if Batman can be a monk-trained Ninja then an AU version of Spiderman can certainly be gay. Honestly, the Dark Knight series is the most interesting Batman movie-verse for me, though I did unexpectedly like the Michael Keaton one. Before he became Val Kilmer and then George Clooney, and WTF was that all about?

Also, in my fics, Iron Man is totally hot for Rhodey 1.0. So there.

Yetis must exist, just for the cuteness of the Bumble in the Rudolph movie! I don't care about the smelly forest-dwelling ones...
