I dropped out due to stress, not having internet access, ect.

After the INTERNET DRAMA of 2006, I decided to disconnect for awhile. I was keeping up with entries via trips to the library. After awhile, I didn't have time to go to the library so, I had to drop out of the competition.

That's a little scary- how so many people that have done this before talk on and on about the stress. You're about the fifth to say something like that to me. I hope I dodge that bullet.

It wasn't stress caused by the contest. It was the real life variety. The contest was fun!

Well, that's a relief! I wasn't really paying attention to the contest as much last year- I just read the entries and voted when I had a little time. I'm still learning a lot about how this goes!

i got sick last season and was booted for missing a topic - it sucked the big one... so i'm vulking up on vitamin c, garlic and horseradish!!!

never stress about the votes - there's always ways to (honestly) get more votes!

How critical are the first rounds? I mean, does the top ranker get three votes or anything crazy like that? What was it like?

I just wrote... and did not really pay attention to the first few rounds, other than to see how close I got to being cut.

I asked Welfy, and she said she didn't even really do the Green Room. I guess everyone has much different styles with this kind of thing! I'm here to make a few friends among about seven other different reasons, so if nothing else, I've already won in that field. I sit and really read every entry I see, so I can only take on so many LJ friends anyways.

Thanks for the link- I'll definitely check it out. I don't think I'll be reading my way through last season, though- that sounds like too much of a hassle.
