Green Room - Week 11 - Day 5

I’m sure that if I tried, I could come up with something clever take on the “news of the day” or just mock the lot of you. But today is a little different for me, because really only one thing is on my mind.

Today is my second anniversary with my girlfriend. Since I can’t seem to wipe the smile off my face, I figured “Why bother trying?”

At the end of what turned out to be our first date, I walked her to her car and she gave me a hug. I remember that hug, and just how amazing it felt. I remember *thinking* how amazing it felt. What I didn’t find out until several weeks later, was that I had actually muttered “Oh my god” OUT LOUD!

Once I found out, her nervous laugh and “You’re so cute” made a lot more sense with the context! : )

What have *you* forgot to use your “inside the head” voice on, and accidentally let out into the universe? What was the reaction?

When Amber was born we arrived at 11:30am and I was in light laybor. At noon the first real contraction hit and my water broke. The now ex had gone for a quick lunch - lots of time right? - shortly after I was admitted. When I was checked five min. Later I was fully dialated and no docter. 20 min of fighting delivery later the doctor showed up she was born and emedietly expressed her feelings on the matter. I said well at lest we don't have to wait for her first bm. The nurses were laughing and the doctor simply said I am so glad I didn't ware my new shoes today.
