That Love Fest thing is still going on. I mean, when is it not going on? Seems like every time you turn around people are saying nice things about each other/giving cyber hugs. Which is why it's even more important for me to be kicking people back into their rightful place! :D

The roads were none too great, but the hubby and I made it up to Cheyenne. It took about two hours longer than normal and I'm fairly certain we were driving on solid ice for about a hundred miles or so, but it will be worth it to spend Christmas with family. Right? *laughs*

I have a somewhat ugly cold. I also have to work from three thirty until whenever I get exhausted and absolutely can't stand to be there tonight (I work by myself at the shop so no one can really keep me there if I don't want to be there). I still have presents to wrap and a menu to plan but I just don't have the energy for it. On the other hand my SO is being a champ about taking care of me and I've got latkes for lunch, so hurray for that.

Right now, I'm just enjoying a little coffee, kitty and quiet time on my day off. Soon enough though, I'll have to go do a wee bit of yardwork, run out into the madness to grab a couple of things and then go down and spend some time with Miss Annabelle. After that... well, I dunno... Chinese food and working on my Project O' Doom II perhaps. Or maybe a nap. No telling! Oh how I love days off...

We have so much shopping to do today. We have gotten none done. NONE. We were waiting on Husband's half-check for the month (he does contract labor right now) and getting caught up on bills. I hate malls. Today is going to be a nightmare. I shall go in armed with Xanax and macha latte. Yes.

Meanwhile, I'm tinkering on some short stories.

The other night was the Yule party for my friend. I baked up a storm for a bunch of people. Good food, funny conversations. I can't much tolerate the boyfriend of one of her friends, but that's because his humor tends to be unkind, and I don't deal with random rudeness.

The suck part was getting lost in the snow for 20 minutes, and calling Husband in a panic. Oh, my anxiety.

Shoot, this time of year things are all rilled in RL.
So peoples are givin out OOC loves and such.
Personaly I am ready for the holiday to be done and gone. All these sappy sweet christmas movies really get to me. They make me want to gag but the children love them so monday I think I'm going to need a nice pleasent George A.Romaro movie marathon. Or some nice fun desaster flicks.

The Love Thread is awesome! I wish I could hop on a computer since doing it from my phone is hard and slow... But I'm trying to spread some love at least. Go check it out, add people that aren't there already. It really is nice when people say nice things about you :)

I woke up today with a killer headache. I took some medicine and went back to bed for a bit and it's still hanging on. Ack. I didn't drink (my family aren't drinkers), I didn't party last night... But my head feels like it did!

Yay for Christmas Eve Eve! I'm thinking about getting stuff to make cookies with the kids. They have never made cookies from scratch before and I realize that's a shame and something I should fix. They think my grandma's chocolate chip cookies (also made from scratch) are the bomb, but I think they are bland... I can show them homemade chocolate chip cookies! And the peanut butter ones I made and posted to FB looked so good, they want some of those too. And they don't believe I can make my grandma's white cookies, and I can. But she's sending a ton of cookies down tomorrow, so we probably shouldn't... Do we need that many cookies?!?

This reminds me of visiting with my grandmother. She would make SO MANY COOKIES. Choc chip with and without pecans, snickerdoodles, peanut butter, molasses, oatmeal raisin, russian tea cakes, and some weird square cookies I don't remember what they were called.

Anyway, she would let them cool then put them in wax paper then tupperware containers and stick them in the deep freeze. We'd have any kind of cookie we wanted during the visit and then split them up and take a bunch home when we left.

You can never have too many cookies (see my previous entry about the Christmas cookie extravaganza.) :)

Oh and I had the second bit of food I was looking forward to yesterday... Steak n' Shake! I took my youngest niece and mom out since everyone else was somewhere or another. Chili and cheese fries FTW! And an eggnog shake for good measure. Yummy!

I can't wait for them to open up in Cali... I read they are working on it!

Baxaphobia and I just made three kinds of cokies, strawberry jello cookies, christmas cinnamon logs, and oatmeal cookies with chopped walnuts and orange flavored cranberries. Now I need a shower. We were going to make lime jello cookies too but we gave up and are tired.

That was my day. The rest of it I spent lying in bed.

It's Christmas Eve here, so I should probably say Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah/Happy Festivus/Happy Holidays/Happy Whatever-It-Is-You-Celebrate because tommorrow will be a busy one: breakfast with the whole family, and then dinner with the extended family that's visiting from Melbourne.
