There is still a poll out there, http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/458636.html , to determine who will be moving on. People have been pointing out just how much fiction there is this week. Hopefully that's just how people decided to go with the topic rather than a general direction of the overall season/competition. I guess we will see how things shake out in the coming weeks.

I am currently reading the Bryson book "A Walk in the Woods" and just reached his visit to Centralia, Pennsylvania. More precisely, when he talks about the mine fire that started in 1962 and is still burning today.

Oh I'll be rested and ready to go! I'm the one that suggested leaving my house at 6:30, remember? lol I mean serious business considering I'm not a morning person. But I'm always a morning person when there's adventure to be had!

I'm really looking forward to our little getaway too, honey...our first overnight trip since the road trip out here, and back then, we hardly knew each other in comparison to now

I really hope we get you a medal then, honey :) though from the looks of their FB pages, we are competing against some hard core people this time...and your partner knows nothing about the area lol if this were St. Louis? I'd be your girl...but I'm hoping our research and street smarts make up for the unfamiliarity...but we really do need to learn how to maneuver with a map better :p

Oh you'll miss the giant beast, I'm sure of it! I'm thinking it'll be nice to not have a roommate...or a cat scratching to go in and out all night lol

lol... well, I don't know the area either so we're in the same boat. If it were in Long Beach? We'd dominate. But yes, I'm hoping that we can more than make up for our lack of knowledge of the area because a medal would be so awesome! :-)

Well I wasn't thinking about the sleep...I had other things in mind that are often an issue...but yeah, sleep is good too ;)
