Santa doesn't get a list from me this year. I've got everything that I need - a loving husband, a home, friends, cats, ridiculous amounts of DVDs, and of course the Internet. Anything that Santa wants to bring me would be welcome, but there's nothing in particular that I want.

I'm going to drive up to Cincinnati this evening for a holiday gathering with friends, so a wish for good weather would be much appreciated on the 90 minute drive!

I'm not even thinking about Santa right now. I'm heading back to Australia for Christmas in two days and I've too busy to even figure our what Santa might give my sons for Christmas. Will probably have to do some shopping in Australia. Oh well, at least gifts have been bought for most of those outside my immediate family whom I need to buy for.

Writing my first screenplay for this season of Idol at the moment. Wanting to finish it tonight but it's taking on a life of its own and as such may end up too long that no one will bother reading it. Oh well, at least I'm enjoying it.

It's funny, every year I have to e-mail a What Santa Could Bring Me list for my extended family's Secret Santa. Some years it's easier because there are specific things I want, like the winter jacket from 2-3 years ago.

This year, however, I was totally stumped. I ended up listing gift cards to certain places and maybe a bathrobe, but really, unless you want to give me $ for household stuff, there's nothing specific I want/need.

It's a very weird feeling.

Apparently Santa took my list and checked off every item and then added some! There are so many gifts under our tree with my name!!! :) I had no idea I was so good this year. It certainly was not intentional. Maybe I was just really good at being naughty. ;)

Santa came early when he broght me an excellent new clothes dryer! Seriously people, an effective clothes dryer in Europe is nearly ILLEGAL. There's some kind of continent wide pride in having wet clothes hanging all over the place. Another favorite is having a combo washer/dryer in one machine, which sounds like a good idea until you realize it's kind of like a sofabed- doing neither task very well.

Started shopping yesterday, got the dog, two coworkers, son's father done, and some stocking stuffers for family members. My son is pretty much done as well, but I did his gifts on layaway and won't pick them up till next week.

I hate the polls, I hate people leaving, I don't know if I'm made out for this, heh.

About as exciting as my day today :p Right now I'm trying to build up the fortitude to bundle up to go outside :BRRR: and get a couple of errands done. Then I'm going to probably put something in the crockpot and veg out because it just seems to be that kind of day :BRRR:

I really don't worry about what Santa is going to bring me. This year even more so. My family is going through a lot with my stepdad losing his unemployment right before Christmas and with 4 kids in the family, I'm pretty much forgoing getting any gifts from them. All I want for Christmas is for something to work out for them personally...it was rough before living on about $800 a month...now they have nothing :(

So yeah, that kinda takes my Christmas spirit...

But instead of being a complete downer, I did order java_fiend's gift last night! Well the second bit of it! Now I get to taunt him nonstop about it! :P

Santa so far has brought me a good laugh (and I was able to use it for this week's entry...double score!). I'm not sure what else Santa will bring me because my mom did her shopping without a list (and from a catalog, that never bodes well for me). C and his family asked for lists so I have a bit more hope for things I might be able to use from them.

I did take care of all my shopping save for one more order to make (I'm getting a messenger bag for my brother). Then the only thing I have left to do is to finish my sister's shawl and finish the little stocking ornaments for C's family. I'm hoping to finish this project this week so I can take next week off and work on gifts.

I gave Santa my list and I don't think that bastard has stopped laughing yet. I'm pretty sure he's going to do something unpleasant with it.


Had to make up games for my league last night... good first game, fell apart and sucked ass the rest of the way. So that has me grumpy. I really don't like letting my team down. So bleh.

I have an idea for this week's topic... still trying to decide if it's one of those ideas that sounds better in my head than it is when it's actually down on paper. Haven't determined that just yet.

The only thing I want for Christmas is getting to see my family this year, but Santa said he wasn't a taxi service. *sigh* I also asked him for a new car that wouldn't constantly be breaking down, and he asked if I preferred 9V or AA powered. I think he misunderstood. Then I was going to ask for pants, because the only pair I have left is starting to wear out, but then my mom found some on sale and sent them to me in the mail, so I thought that would be redundant. Then I asked for a sugar daddy to take care of all my bills so I could start landing on my feet, and Santa got upset again because he's "not a match making service, either!"

I keep having friends ask what they can get me, and telling me to make a list, so I may do that... a few books/cds/movies or something simple. People don't seem to like practical suggestions for Christmas this year.

For once, I actually had something that I wanted from Santa! My mom is taking me out next week to go shopping for a new chest of drawers for my apartment :) I'm so excited! I can finally move my clothes out of plastic tubs in my closet.

I also asked him secretly for a badass Christmas break because I really need some peaceful, student-free weeks under my belt, and I think he may comply. My sister and I are going to NYC for New Year's! I'm so excited I can't even handle it.
