Like coming across an unfinished highway exit where they didn't put up barriers - this Idol week is looking like it will come down to a dramatic end!

So make sure *your* favorites get to stick around for another week!

Of course, at this point - aren't they all your favorites? *nods* That's what I thought. ;)

Which of them will be part of the Top 21?

We are getting closer and closer to the end. Sooner or later, everyone will be gone. But ah, the game is still afoot!! Enjoy the time that we have left with each other!!

So how is your hump day? Ready to blow it up yet?

Don't know if anyone else watches that OTHER Idol, but I am particularly peeved after they sandbagged my favorite contestant, Crystal, last night. I mean, forcing her to sing a song where, over and over, she repeats "Maybe I'm a man"? And then not only putting Lee in the pimp spot but also giving him the fanciest arrangement of the night, complete with violins and background singers, while all the other performances were bare-stage, just the singers. I mean, pardon my Internet-speak, but WTF?

Compounded by the fact that yesterday, I went to the polls to vote, nine months pregnant, while it was raining. Instead of a free donut, I get second-hand smoke courtesy of an election worker sitting NEXT TO THE BOOTH and SMOKING! I mean, for realz?

Well, this afternoon I'm going to finish reading and voting for LJI, because at least that's not cheesing me off.

I do watch and was kind of irritated with how they set things up last night. Hopefully Crystal stays in, though, because I think she'd make fabulous records and it'd be nice to have someone who stayed true to herself win.

Um... People ae allowed to smoke at the polls where you live? That seems bizarre. Maybe I should be glad that my polling station is an elementary school!

The thing is, I don't think that they ARE allowed to smoke in the polls. But my polling location is a custom cycle shop, so who knows? I called to complain with the county board of elections yesterday, and the first guy I spoke to wasn't that helpful. He's like, "Did you vote?" I said yes, and he claimed there was nothing he could do.

I called a different number, and that person was at least more sympathetic and said he'd check it out. Supposedly, I should have registered a complaint with the person in charge there, but that wasn't obvious. Plus, it's a really small location: all the workers were piled up on each other near the only polling booth. I didn't feel comfortable registering a complaint.

I was definitely irked by the way Crystal was screwed. She's amazing, and that song was not a great choice for her. :(

I know! If they were going to pair up two of the judges, why not pair Ellen with Randy? They seem to think a lot alike, and Randy has a better sense for song choices than newbie Ellen does. I mean, I don't think she sabotaged her deliberately, but that arrangement did not help Crystal.
