Kizzy Rules Of Retail #1: NEVER go shopping on Black Friday unless you're a masochist.

Rule #2: Should you decide to brave the Teeming Millions, please be pleasant to your overworked harried salesperson, no matter how aggravated you may be.

Rule #3: There is a lot to be said for shopping online ;)

although we did drop Claudia off across the street from the local mall near our bio parents.

No babies for me - my body is broken :( But I have two kitties, and they count, especially since one is lying in my arms right now, cuddling on me :)

No Black Friday, either. Amazon is my god. All of my birthday and Christmas shopping this year was done online, and it's all already here at my house, waiting to be wrapped. I wouldn't go out at 4 in the morning to save 60% on a coat or a GPS or something if you paid me to.*

I did, however, stay awake until 6 am to finish my NaNo novel. 87,000 words, or 350 book pages, and the beast is complete! YES! Now, to edit... *grumbles*

We went the Amazon route as far as "Black Friday" shopping - got all the Harry Potter movies on BluRay for just $10 each!

No pregnancy in my future, but we'll be happy once we finish all the *!$%!# paperwork and reading and background checks and whatnot in order to become qualified to be adoptive parents.

I swear, if *everybody* had to go through all this crap in order to become a parent, there would be a lot less kidlets in the world...

I think lots and lots of people out there should *have* to go through all that crap... maybe they'd appreciate being parents more... or in many other cases, realize that they *shouldn't* be parents to begin with.

Hubby and I both went shopping today. Hubby hit the early walmart sales and got the princess a dress up trunk along with a lego ship for the boy. Then we went out and bought hubby clothes at the mall along with new shoes for the kids. Buy one get one free and buy one get one half off is gold in this house :)

Well thanks to everyone for their congratulations. It was an unexpected but happy surprise for us!

No way am I winning this derby - I'm not entirely sure of my due date but it won't be until July sometime and I always go over anyway!

All my Christmas shopping was done a month ago and we don't do Thanksgiving here, so I'm just currently recovering from the emotional rollercoaster that have been the past two weeks and hoping that all's OK with the Idol book proof when I get it!

We did nothing today. Well, John was working from home because the shared office staff in his building didn't come in today and being a temp, he doesn't have an access card to open the building. So he telecommuted all day. I worked on my brother's holiday gift (nearly done) and then took a nap around 4 (apparently still just a shade sick). Feeling tons better, though, and my fever is almost gone!

I still heard some of the "Buy Nothing Day" business, but as I countered - with this economy, *every day is "Buy Nothing Day" for most people.

Why not make it "lower the unemployment numbers for a couple months due to stores needing part time workers day"? ;)
