After wishing our pagan friends a Happy Samhain yesterday, I had some people who were surprised because they didn't realize that I'm pagan.

I was surprised as well, because I'm not.

Finding out that I was is a huge surprise to me! :)

Nor am I Christian, but I wish people a Merry Christmas (and/or a Happy Holidays, when I'm talking about multiple holidays that in that time and I'm not sure which ones they celebrate)

I worship the gods of Idol, who demand weekly sacrifices! *

(*Maybe I'm joking. Maybe. Aren't there people who have played who you never ended up seeing again? Don't you wonder what happened to them? I'm not saying that they were fed to the Idol Gods. I'm also not saying that they weren't!! *cue dramatic music*)

It doesn't mean that I can't hope that other people enjoy their holidays as well. Granted, they should mostly enjoy *my* holidays. But as long as they understand that, they should be able to "spent time" with "their family" as well. I guess. Maybe. "Enjoyment" might be something that could occur, under those circumstances, although I don't fully understand why.

Or the left over loot that you tried to give kids but they didn't take it all... or just steal some random kid's candy. Break into their house when they are at school and take their entire bag of candy loot! Who are the police going to believe? You or some kid who is pretending to be a super hero? Besides - once you get your entry in, you deserve some candy far more than they do! Right? Right!!!

Questions like “Why are there so many byes this week?” Answers like “Sometimes that happens.” and “There’s a long way to go, those people had better be careful if they don’t want to end up out of the competition!” Then again, maybe we will end up getting to the Top 30 (when the byes expire) sooner than anyone thinks. Hopefully not!

In the meantime though - there’s plenty of wonderful things to concentrate on. There are more than enough fantastic entries to keep you occupied for the duration of voting!

Some amazing names on that list. I hope we get to see them in Second Chance. Going out in this week means that any of the new ones only had a single shot to have their stuff read, and anyone new wouldn’t have really gotten to experience just how good the others were.

But, like I said - there are plenty of people you CAN discover this week. That’s actually one of the advantages of the byes, that it gives you more time with those who are here!
