Saturday afternoons around Idol have taken on a new meaning. For the main competition, it's when they need to make sure that their entries are in - but it's also when they will find out who will be joining them.

Because it's that good news/bad news Second Chance results.

As usual, I'm going to try to get the bad news out of the way first. Because it's always the worst part of the day.

We lost four contestants this time around.

Those leaving us are:

I'm sorry to see you go. I hope that all of you will continue to show up in the Home Game, because you never know what might happen. Also, I know there are people who have started reading you who will miss seeing your stuff every week.

Also leaving SCI, provided that they agree to "move up" are the contestants who by virtue of being the Top Four this week, will be moving to the ranks of the main competition:

A few words from clauderainsrm:

It's that time again.

Unless of course you are in Egypt, in which case, you're not seeing this message. Or in somewhere else that is blocking any mention of "Egypt". In which case - Egypt.

Now you really can't see it.

It's the end of another week and the contestants are ready to go with a new batch of entries - and you have some really good reading in front of you.

Before we get to that, we have to say goodbye to a bunch of people. I've been asked if this season has had more drops and bye-outs and my response has been "This season I'm talking about them all in one place." Whereas before they would be scattered around. Plus, let's be honest, this season was designed to lose a greater number of people early on.

It just always stinks to see them go. Knowing it will happen, and it actually happening are two different animals.

So, before we get to the fun stuff - the sad stuff.

We say goodbye to the people who sent notice that they were dropping out:

and the people who bye-out (eliminated due to using up all their byes and missing this deadline):

Goodbye to all of you. I know the circumstances for a few, and hope that things get a little less hectic and stressful. For the rest, I hope that all is well.

Now to the business at hand - the poll.

Once again, there were a couple people who were brought over from SCI and some shifting around of some folks.

As usual, the contestant with the fewest votes for their entries from each tribe will be eliminated.
