abbismom posted a link to it in the Voting poll and I was just over there a few minutes ago and, wow, it's extremely flattering. Thank you to everyone who has commented so far!

For the link-phobic I'll explain that apparently LJ is coming up on it's 10th anniversary and has set up a community in order to solicit entries for a book that it will be publishing to celebrate that event. I'm not sure where the "communities to be spotlighted in the book" idea came from, because I didn't see a section for that, but people are apparently doing it anyway!! And Idol came up!! I don't know what comments are going to do, or if they even read them. But *I* have read them, and thank you all.

That being said, MY first thought when I saw this was to set YOU a task.

People are suggesting their favorite LJ entries for inclusion in the book - and I don't know about you but some of my favorite entries have also been IDOL entries.

So if I were you - and being anyone but me would probably be a nice treat most days! - I would be doing over to http://community.livejournal.com/lj_turns10 and suggesting some of your favorites! Apparently they will be giving out LJ bucks for suggestions that they end up using. Which is just like real money, only it's worth something in this economy!*G*

Speaking of promotions - the winner of deza's "Read My Damn Interview!!!" contest is agirlnamedluna! Congratulations. You receive a copy of her book in .pdf and a shiny new pony!!!! (Well ok, I'm not sure about the pony part, but I would hold out and see if you could negotiate for one)

Since apparently "some folks" are antsy about having a place to post their Home Game entries - here it is!

For those new to these parts, a "Home Game entry" is anyone who is not a current contestant in this season (in this case, there are 19 contestants left. So if you aren't one of them, this is place you want to submit your link!*g*)
