It should be noted that I started writing this during the DNC roll call. Roll calls at political conventions are almost as fun as seeing the old people dancing.   I say "started" because I got distracted around the time that Lil Jon showed up. I kept thinking there would be more moments like that - but no. It was just Georgia.  

Thanks Georgia for overshadowing everyone else. 

Lil Jon should show up at every major televised event.  Maybe he should just show up for everyday life events. Go to the grocery store? Lil Jon.  Soccer practice? Lil Jon.  Idol vote?  I'd like to introduce our very special guest....    ;) 

Oh wait, sorry. That's NEXT week.

I had a meeting with my manager today. Apparently the team has been "raving" about how well I have been doing. What a nice change of pace!

Awesome job news! I’ve never watched a roll call. Right now I’m watching one of the America’s Got Talent quarter final shows, much more up my alley!

I’m going to be working from home on Thursday this week. I’m looking forward to it. I usually WFH 1-2x a week, depending on what I’ve got to do and how often I’m scheduled to help with breaks on the front desk.

I wanted to post an update on this since you were kind enough to bring attention to it here so I thought I'd update everyone on the resolution (thus far).

I had bene very stressed that the other magazine editor would take it badly, after all I was accusing a very prominent person of plagiary, which is a very big deal. His response:

I get a feeling this will end up being my last week, le sigh... but it's not Wednesday just yet and I still have some reading and commenting to do.

Last night got to see some of my favorite people, as one of them moved into their dorm for college here and their family came to help.
Tomorrow looks like I'll get a nice collection of movies I ordered back during the Severin Films Summer Sale.

and that's all I have to update. Everything else is the same as it has been and more so or less by day and always in a rollercoaster way.

Grah! This week is kinda kicking my butt. Looks like I am not going to succeed at commenting on all the entries which was a challenge I had set for myself. I have read, though, and no doubt we are either going to have a giant tie/write off of we’re going to lose three people that wrote strong entries. So many strong entries this week. Last week I thought I was pretty much over my Covid bout. I was wrong. This week has been a brain foggy exhausted mess. I seem to be improving slowly again but man, there hasn’t been anything mild about this summer 2024 Cov strain for me. Y’all be careful out there!
