Results - Week 18

Given how wild the results have been throughout this mini season, and with the number of ties that have occurred - this week could have been a LOT more destructive than it ended up being. 

Granted, that doesn't help anyone who is receiving a strike. But it is important to note just how close the votes actually were to mass eliminations. 

By a couple votes in each though, we avoided that. 

The strikes in "Swim Until You Can't See Land" are going to

For " Ikigai    the strikes are going to

Unfortunately, that means we are losing drippedonpaper .

I fully expected mass eliminations at one point, and I thought for sure I was going to be eliminated. So thank you to whoever saved me in the first poll at the last minute!

I am sorry to see drippedonpaper go this way though. It sucks to have two strikes left and still get eliminated in one fell swoop just because there were two polls.

And drippedonpaper, I'm sorry you were knocked out with a double whammy. I enjoyed both your entries, especially "Swim..." about parenting your daughter and the metaphor of the tides and sea. <3

Also I'm pretty sure drippedonpaper is directly responsible for talking more than one contestant into coming out this season! So she deserves rounds for that!

Oh no! Two strikes in one week is awful! I'm so sorry to see this happen, drippedonpaper! Please know that I am shaking my fist at the sky on your behalf. I'm not sure exactly what up there I'm shaking at, but I sure am doing it.

I'm still following and voting, even though I don't always have the time to comment. This is the hardest part of the season, honestly. Everyone who got a strike today is one of my absolute favorites, and I'm sad to see drippedonpaper is now out of the competition.

Oh, I'm so very sorry to see drippedonpaper have to leave. It's been a joy reading her stories. I rather enjoyed the ability to read and vote without caring what happened to me, however, and perhaps she will also find that it's rather liberating to be out of the actual competition but still have the ability to read and vote.

We are definitely getting down to the wire. It's been hard losing someone every time, but I enjoyed drippedonpaper's entries quite a bit this week and it's a real shame to see her go. :(

Thanks. I will keep reading. I have competed before (Season 6 was the first time I think) and this is the "highest" I ever got.

You had a great run! I've been digging your entries a lot and totally deserved to get this far (and should've been in longer, IMO), but the competition has gotten really tight with so few people left.
