There was a 3-way tie for that second spot. Which means that 4 writers ended up with a strike.

Wow - three people at once is kind of crazy with so few people left in the competition! Obviously static_abyss wasn't a surprise and I wish her well, but it's sad to see the other two go. They both put out pretty good work this time - but I think that speaks to the level of the competition this time around. Great work you three, and hopefully we'll continue to see you!

Oh wow. I can't believe we're losing so many people. I haven't been keeping track of the strikes so I was hoping it was going to be the first strike for everyone (except for static_abyss of course).

I'm going to miss all three of you! I've enjoyed your entries a lot this season, and I hope to read more from you all in the future!

I’m bummed because I missed the deadline and didn’t even get to vote for myself. 🤦‍♀️

But I am also grateful for the experience; it’s kept me writing, including writing things I probably wouldn’t have attempted otherwise, and everyone has been so kind.
