Before we get to anything else, there is the sad business of the bye-outs.

It's especially sad because there are some truly great writers in this batch, and newbies didn't get the chance to read anything from them. Which is a huge loss to the competition, and to everyone's reading enjoyment.

Leaving us this week are:

Originally, it was going to be a maximum of 4 contestants would have been eliminated (depending on where the "vote break" ended up occurring, but honoring that attempted sacrifice, I've decided to make it up to 3 will be leaving us!

Fourzoas was niquildrvr (also leaving us, I forgot to put her on the list, must be because I didn't want to eliminate my birthday buddy)

Both of them were open about their IDs, which is why I can reveal that. :)

Sorry to see so many bye-outs, especially from some old-time favorites of mine. Perhaps some of them will join in the second chance or do home-game entries.

Speaking of "byes," how many do we get? KFP considered taking a "bye" this week but then got an idea that he liked in time. I'd like to know how many we have to play with.

Sunday is the 28th... I only know because Saturday the 27th is my birthday. :) Do you want the list Saturday the 27th or Sunday the 28th? Or should we create a new date this year which IS Sunday the 27th and submit it then? Your call, boss.

Oh this hurts! Having to say goodbye to six players before we even get to the voting is a major ouch!

Add to that the possibility of losing three more after the vote. Ouch!

Sad to see so many bye out, but I understand. Sometimes you sign up and hope you can swing it, but life stays too crazy. Hopefully they are busy with all good things!

Sorry :( My computer died just about 2 weeks ago, took a week to get a new one all set up, and then I went down with the flu. But I'm super excited to follow along and read everyone's entries! Plus now that I'm back online reliably, I'm planning on taking on the writing prompts just to practice my very rusty writing skills.

For some reason, it feels like there are fewer entries than there should be. I guess there were a lot of byes that are unaccounted for. Hmmm.
