It actually is a long weekend in Malaysia too! Except today is the holiday (Wesak Day). My husband has taken my youngest to Australia for the weekend, so I'm at home with my eldest now (who just went to bed). My weekend plans include reading a short story to an audience, which is something I've never done before. I practiced it aloud today and tried to do Scottish and French accents for a couple of the characters, but somehow they came out sounding Jamaican at times. Can I get away with that if they're in the Caribbean? :/

Aside from that, I'm trying to make the most of being able to write and edit without interruptions from my nearly-3-year-old. So far I've been most successful with poetry, alas!
