Ah, it's like, okay you don't have an LJ but you can somehow log in using your twitter/blogger/facebook account and vote that way. I know some people legit use a non-LJ account to regularly log into LJ and read entries that way, it saves making another account if you're only reading and not posting. But getting people who never use LJ in the first place to log in and vote... eh ;) Although I think that was a season 7 thing, I haven't noticed it this time around that I can recall!
