Topic - Second Chance Idol - Week 4

It's the last topic of Second Chance Idol!

Half the remaining contestants will be joining the Home Game, and the other half will emerge to fight another day in the ranks of the main competition!

Results - Second Chance Idol - Week 3

Second Chance results posts hurt even more than the regular eliminations do. Because these are people who went through that, and who are trying to get another shot. And when the results are filled with contestants that I've gotten to know over the years (two of them I've actually spent time with in person)... yeah, that's never a fun post to have to make.

But "have to make it" is what it comes down to. It's why we are here. Only a handful of people are going to make it out of Second Chance, and at the end of the day, only one person is going to win Season 10 of LJ Idol!

Which means that there will be eliminations, and all of them are going to be sad.

So, might as well rip that bandaid off instead of just talking about it...

The Week 3 poll of Second Chance Idol is here.

They are operating without a safety net with one goal in mind - getting back into the game! From what I’ve seen, I think those who survive this are going be stronger than ever when they eventually get back into the main competition.

Did I say “eventually”? I meant that there is a max of two more weeks for Second Chance. It’s getting down to the wire.

5 contestants are going to be leaving us this week. That’s a third of the field.

When you get a second chance in life, that’s when you have to grab ahold and not let go of it.

This is your Second Chance at LJ Idol, so hold on tight over the next couple of weeks.

Topic - Second Chance Idol - Week 1

Good evening!

The Second Chance Idol sign-up sheet is "officially closed", but I have decided to unofficially still accept people until the Week 1 deadline. Mostly because I forgot to give one piece of crucial information, something that no one actually asked me, which is why I forgot to say it.

Unlike previous years, this Second Chance is *just the people who sign up*. If you are eliminated from the main competition, you *are eliminated* and will (hopefully) join the ranks of the Home Game.

It's going to be a pre-determined amount of weeks, and whoever is left standing at the end of it will join the main competition. No revolving door. No strategic decisions on if to advance or not into the main competition during the course of it. No byes. Just a short fight, followed by joining the long struggle.

Vote - Week 3 & SCI Topic 2

Itâs time for another batch of polls! Yay!!! Or maybe that wasnât todayâs good news. I seem to recall there was something else, but this seems pretty darn good at the moment.

Or perhaps thatâs just the sound of hearts breaking due to those who missed this weekâs deadline. There are some well known and loved folks on this list. Which makes me wonder if someone is has blackmail pictures of their competitors and is taking them out a few at a time!

On top of that, we also had a someone miss the deadline, who will be filling one of those spots in Second Chance Idol automatically. That would be streetnights. Hopefully we will see you back on form next week!

As for the rest of you, things are once again divided into three polls.

The first is the âSudden Deathâ tribe, comprised of those who were saved by being in a tie in a recent week. Given that they need a little extra push, in either direction, giving them the spotlight of the first poll that you see seems appropriate.

The second poll is the main competition.

And the third are those playing for their lives in this competition - Second Chance Idol. Once you are eliminated from that, itâs over.

The Sudden Death tribe will be losing two contestants this week.
The main competition will lose nine
and Second Chance will lose two more.

Results - Second Chance Idol - Week 4

It wouldn't be Idol if there wasn't a close match between talented writers, that ended up coming down to 1 vote. That's exactly what happened this time.

A single vote separated the block of people joining the ranks of the main competition next week, and two others from being eliminated. So, hopefully everyone who wanted to vote was able to get to the polls! You never know when that one last vote is going to come into play!

I'll handle the bad news first, so I can at least end on a high note.

Results - Second Chance - Week 3

Ties ended up having a huge impacted on the results this week. Fewer people moved up, and fewer were eliminated as a result.

There was even a blunder on my part, by posting the wrong date to decide if you wanted to move, which resulted in

barrelofrain actually coming back into SCI, starting next week.

So somewhere in this situation, there are some actual results. Both the good, and the bad.
