Green Room - Week 4 Day 4

Good morning!  How is everyone today?

LJ Idol Tech Support wishes she could have taken a sick day.  (Stupid cold.)  Our fabulous host was running late this morning and asked me to post the Green Room.  Go me!

What's going on in your lives today?  I've seen a lot of buzz about the debate last night.  I didn't get to watch because I was at my other job.

What's going on in my life today?  Well, I arranged to work last night so that I could have tonight off so I can watch the Packers beat play the Cowboys tonight.  (Please, for the love of football, let them win...  please?)  I've been extra careful not to talk smack when it comes to my beloved boys in Green & Gold this year.  I don't want to run the chance of jinxing anything.  Should be a good game though!  I'm heading to a bar to watch it since it's on the NFL Network.  Cheese curds will be eaten.  Oh yes.  Cheese curds will be eaten.

That's about it for me.  I'm off to update my poll tables with the latest entries.

Speaking of entries...   post them here!  The deadline is coming up fast!  Don't make me post your name tomorrow morning.  :-)

I have some cheese curds in my fridge. I brought them back with me this weekend. :) I haven't opened them yet, but as soon as I gave my mom her package, she opened it, and ate a few, and I'm sure hers were gone that day.

Good Mornin! I'm still stretching and yawning after game night ran late last night. We played Scattergories (after becoming at least mildly intoxicated enough to make it a bigger challenge) and tumbled into bed around 12. This isn't TOO late, except that I wake around 4:30am!

Debates, Shebates. I'll vote when I have my choices - until then, I'm avoiding the circus.

Have a lovely morning - I've got bonus checks to cut! I have the coveted job of payclerk at the Holidays!

I listened to a woman on the subway rage about Rudy Giuliani and how the NYPD commissioner is a murderer/liar/killer of unarmed men of color... and calling him "KKK Kelly" and how the black and Hispanic brothers of New York City need to rise up and not take it anymore.

The front page of the papers here is all about Giuliani and how he used New York taxpayers' money to fund his affairs while he was mayor...

Just another day in the Big Apple. :)

Today I take Caroline out for a Dr's appointment and a couple of errands. She loves "working" with Mommy.

This afternoon I really hope to get started on some puppets I want to get done.

Freezing my butt off this morning in the merry old land of Minnesota.

Cheese Curds? Haven't had them since the Minnesota State Fair this past summer.

What's going on in life?
Class tonight..
Last night attempted to work on some school work, got asked by a friend of mine if I would go to a some child birth classes with her this weekend (she's doing the pregnancy thing all alone after the father decided to move back to Texas shortly after finding out she was pregnant)...felt a little odd about it but it's what a good friend would do right? I couldn't image going through what she's dong alone so I want to be as much a support as possible. What else? Got up on some TV from Tuesday night that I missed (gotta love House..one of the only shows I watch).

I need to read up on the debates. I saw a few headlines but haven't had a chance to read what happened though.

Beyond that, we are short a few people today so work should be busy. This will be interesting balancing that and keeping up with the green room.

Oh yeah, Good morning! I actually have work to do today, which is kinda nice. I had to go make some students very happy this morning - they actually showed up for their 8:00 class and the prof has a sick child and can't make it in until this afternoon. So I took up their papers and sent them home =) Now I get to address envelopes and create a PowerPoint. I have such a glamorous job! =)

Good morning everyone. All this talk of cheese curds has me curious. I love most cheeses, but I hate COTTAGE cheese. Are cheese curds like that? I've heard that "curds n' whey" is an old-fashioned term for cottage cheese, so I'm wary of these curds you speak of.

What I'm craving now is a good soft bleu cheese on crackers. Mmmmm.

Today is work. And rainy/overcast, ew--days like this should be spent at home with hot coca and a purring cat. And, um, writing this week's LJ Idol entry. As much as I love the topic, my writer's block is making me consider taking a bye week.

At some point in the next 96 hours, I need to write a ten-page term paper. Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

I didn't watch the debates last night either. One of my co-workers was listening to it on CNN though and would give me a couple of updates.

As for my plans for today - well, I'm not going out anywhere. My husband's car won't start so he took the van in. We can't really do anything about bringing it somewhere (we tried jumping it, no luck) until the weekend because Rich had to get to work and I have Teddy. The car doesn't have a car seat so I would have no way of bringing him back after they found out what was wrong with it. We're waiting for the weekend instead.

In the meantime, I'm going to work on Teddy's wish list for the rest of the family, work on making some Christmas cards, do a little cleaning...

I'm off at the tax office today... And I quit my S&B job last night. WOOT! So I am making chocolate no-bakes, chocolate chip, and butterscotch chip cookies. Well, I'll make the chip cookies if someone didn't use all of my eggs yesterday morning for breakfast.

Oh, and gotta run to the bank today, too. Sweetness.

Bleh... just getting to my cell... errrr.... my cubicle this morning. Need coffee. Much, much, much coffee. Have to deal with idiotic people, so I need my coffee to maintain some level of sanity...

I could only stomach about 10 minutes of that debate before I wanted to throttle all of them. Had to turn it off and drive rusty nails into my eyes... it seemed to be the preferrable alternative. Much less painful.

I'd love to see the Pack win, but I just don't think they will. They're a really young team and they haven't proven yet that they can run consistently... and you have to be able to run to keep a defense honest. This is really the first real test the Pack has faced this season. They've eaten up lower-tier teams to this point and the one relatively decent team they played... Washington... they barely got by. As well as they've been playing, I think they've got a lot of question marks... maybe some of them will be answered tonight. Though I'd like to see Brett win one more big one, I don't know that they can beat the elite teams in the league.

I'm in bed debating getting up. My daughter is making me a cup of hot chocolate while jamming to CombiChrist.

I didn't catch the debate. I'm undecided about who I'm pulling for. My predictions for next year: I think it will be Fred Thompson facing off against Hillary. We'll see right?

I go to have my blood drawn today. Ick! I should be used to it by now. (must have blood drawn often to check for lead exposure)
