The dust is settled and the results are in, and people are being “encouraged” to leave the Green Room by the gas that is seeping in through the grates.

As the final one is carried out on a stretcher, desperately hanging on to the piece of chair they broke off in their last stand, even as it tumbles from their raptly going limp hands - the doors to the Green Room are slammed shut, locking from the inside. So that no one can open them, until the resortation is complete and we meet again next season!

For now, it’s off to the Banquet Hall, and from there - maybe, just maybe, there will be a door back to “your real lives”. I know you don’t remember them, and some of you will prefer to stay here, where it’s safe. But I’m sure there are folks who probably miss you out there.

I can’t imagine why! ;)

Welcome to the Banquet Hall! There is a buffet and an open bar. There is also a good old fashioned “Friending Frenzy”.

So, if you have been waiting to friend someone, or just want to put yourself out there... or tell a friend or 15 to stop on by, it’s a great way to cap off a great season, and a way for newbies to stick their head out and get to know people!

So step up and say “Hello!” and tell your friends to come on in and do the same!

Wow, it seems like years ago that this season of Idol started! So much has happened!

Oh man, what a helluva finish! This has been a great season, and a great time. And of course I'm sneaking in all tardy-like to the party, but I just had to come and nab some crumbs from the buffet table and say how great it's been to participate in this craziness. It's been epic and awesome and incredible, and I am SO looking forward to the next time around! It seems sort of unreal that it will actually be quiet and uneventful in this neck of the LJ woods for a while. I'll be back for next season, because of course I will, and I hope next time I can get even further than the top 10. I'm perfectly open to friending folks with this journal, and I just have to know you a leeeeettle tiny bit before I'll friend you with my primary journal, cislyn (where I post any stuff that comes out of my brain that isn't weird fiction and meta-writing and thoughts about process).

I'm a liberalish mother of two who sometimes writes M/M slash (I think all possible warnings are contained in just that summary).

Hey, everyone!

Trying to get back into using my LJ more and writing on a more consistent basis now that I've got a light semester ahead of me. I blog here at LJ and a couple of other places (just ask if you want to see).

Other than that... I'm just a quiet, laid back girl from Northern California. :) My life is currently school, work, reading and family as well as the blogging. Keeping it simple and laid back after the semester from hell that was last semester.
