Green Room - Week 27 - Day 8

Our Love Threads/Q&A comes to an end with the final 14 contestants in the alphabet. the l

But don't let that stop expressing yourself and furthering bonds with your fellow contestants. After all, that was the point of all of this.

The first two blew up like Artie Lange's Twitter feed: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/802311.html and http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/802740.html
Whereas yesterday's was, in comparison, more like the line to his booking agent: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/802866.html

There's still plenty of time to correct that though, go back and make sure to give them more love and attention.

Save some for this thread though as well, because all of the threads have an equal number (well, almost...) of fantastic writers, and people!

***

While you are involved with all of this though, make sure you remember that there is a deadline on Monday.

That's why we are here after all! http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/800348.html

Your writing is strong and has consistently leveled up over the course of this season. :)

I love how quietly powerful your writing is! I look forward to your entries and have not been disappointed even once.

I enjoy how lived in your fiction is, your characters are always so realized and rich even if we only know them for a few hundred words.

Great entries from you, especially Crabs in a Barrel.

You have such evocative stories, and the characters show a lot of emotional depth-- whether it's the old man now being cared for by his wife's twin, or my favorite-- the girls who went out swimming one day.

I always look forward to your entries, and you've shared a lot of wonderful things with us this season. :D

Your entry for Crabs strikes a chord with me and I wish I had said something at the time I read it. Your writing almost always hits a chord, somewhere, to boot. Your dialogue is heavily realistic, and I enjoy that quality of it, too. :)

With all of the reading I've had to do here in Idol, I'm ashamed to admit that [livejournal.com profile] watching_ships was a bit of a late discovery. But wow. What a discovery. I went back and binged on past entries as soon as I could.

The melancholy of the fade of old-fashioned, small-town Americana is something I witness personally every time I visit my in-laws in Nebraska; I did not, however, expect to read it so vividly as it happens. But there it is, the underlying theme of all of these pieces.

Seriously, I am such a fan.
