Green Room - Week 7 - Day 3

An interesting discussion popped up yesterday, one that I (professionally) will be interested in seeing how it continues to develop. The discussion of personality types came up, and in the end there was a question that cut to the heart of the matter: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/669780.html?thread=68222804#t68222804

"I wonder which type(s) have a harder time deciding who to vote for, vote or don't vote according to super strict or totally lax criteria, are hardcore about voting, and so on. "

How does your personality type interact with Idol?

I know that with the assessment profiles that I deal with, that I've definitely seen a difference in how certain types act and react. But, with the standard Myers-Briggs? I think it will be fascinating to see the breakdown.

***

Speaking of breakdowns - don't have one. The deadline is fast approaching, faster than it will take Rick Perry to get people to say "Wendy Who?" ! http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/669409.html

Enjoy your 4th of July!

okay topic by topic:

Hands:

muscle memory from years of playing clarinet, and how it sometimes fails me
variety of conducting styles hands can project
holding hands

Imposter:

am I am who I am because that's who I am or because I've made myself this way (and how therapy is making me crazy)
evil twins
brand name versus generic

From Afar:

military kid stories
installment of my never ending fantasy novel from the perspective of an outsider
something about Afar, in Africa
looking across a room

Against All Odds

take a quote from the Phil Collins song, go from there
triumphing against an obstacle
gambling story?

I could attempt a video entry of me playing, focused on my hands..... maybe with added text

yeah, that's why I thought about focusing on text and maybe adding the video for flavor?

Hands also brought up (for me) how people express themselves through their hands. Like what their feeling, their state of mind, etc. Something also to think about. :)

(Can you tell I'm Italian? Because seriously, you wanna talk about people expressing themselves through their hands...)

ha. I'm British/Heinz 57 Western European and not associated with hand talking and I do it all the time

Yeah, it's really not just an Italian thing but the idea of hands expressing emotion or one's mindset is a great way for that particular topic. :)

Topics like "Hands" are so hit and miss, though. It's easy to overdo it, so finding the right balance is hard lol.

well the video is so not happening now, as I just practiced a little bit and am way to critical of my current tone quality to let it be shared :D

Hands also makes me think of sign language / ASL. :)

Or applause as in "give a hand for..."

Yeah that's the first thing I thought of. :)

I think seeing something from the fantasy novel could be cool -- I'm a fan of fantasy fiction (see my icon, lol!). :)

hmm I could do a character study on Maes, because she is technically from afar. Hmmmm
