Because I just woke up.

Well, in fairness, I didn't get home until about 8 am due to immediately leaving from work yesterday and going to Disney's 24-hour event, which lasted until 6! Yes, while you were busy sleeping, I was busy at the Magic Kingdom! :) First world problems? No. First Kingdom problems!

I have 0 inspiration for the topics, so hopefully that changes around. Other than that I am working on my apartment still, changed the fish over to a new tank and installed a new TV on Thursday, been tidying up a bit since. Phew!

As far as the topics, just think of how you can reinterpret them if you are stuck. Like most people are writing the 1337 topic as "leet speak" but it could also just be a date, too! Good luck with finding inspiration!

It is cold and rainy here. Had to go out on errands and it was miserable.Glad to be back home and inside!

I hope the Magic Kingdom had nice warm weather. If I lived near there, I would be visiting all the time. Last evening I watched The Secret of the Wings on Netflix. What a sweet story of Tinkerbell and Periwinkle.

Maybe I'll get a head start on reading some entries.

I am sitting here munching on a box of Honey Graham Oh's with my child because apparently, my son is obsessed with this cereal and wants to EAT ALL OF IT whenever there's a box in the house?

It's a good thing I don't buy this cereal very often. Two boxes bought on Wednesday will likely be decimated by the end of the day. Oops.

I just inadvertently figured out my new Idol entry by failing horribly at baking. Sigh. This is why I need to keep rice flour in the house.

Apart from that... SO is headed over to my place, we're going to get caught up on TV shows and cook dinner (hopefully that will turn out better than the disaster I tried to make this morning!). Quiet, dreary Saturday.

I've been doing laundry all morning. I've now folded 4 loads and have a 5th in the dryer. Because, holy hell, I needed to get caught up.
I've also been pondering my entry. Have some ideas I've been tossing around, but I've been very tired recently and hope I can have a moment of alertness and clarity to really think things through.

Also, enjoying spending time with my best girl. At 18 months old, Hennie is becoming more of a joy to spend time with each day. She's stringing words together and learning bird calls and requesting songs and books by name. It's fun that she's finally at the point where we can communicate more and have conversations and she can tell me if she wants to play or read or go somewhere. :)

It's a very dreary tropical-kind-of-showery day here. It's also quite chilly. It's the end of May, hello?!?

We just returned from an every which-way expedition to find a keyboard that folds small enough to fit into a hidden jacket pocket yet not so microscopically small that you can't type without a magnifying glass. We finally found one and it works. YAY!

And holy hell that was one long-winded sentence...

This holiday weekend is messing up my potential entry in a way, but perhaps that's a good thing...?

I hab allergies.

My nose is stopped up and my eyes are itching off and my throat is on fire and I'm wheezing.

And I have no asthma medicine because I have no insurance and the fucking Congress decided to outlaw the over the counter medication because they're owned by the pharmaceutical companies because they are saving the environment by eliminating the propellant. Because, you know, compared to car emissions and cow farts and power plants, all those asthmatic people are creating quite the threat to the ozone. Fuckers.

Oh, also, I'm still in that bad mood. I'm not sure when it stops being a mood and starts being my new default personality.

I have terrible allergies myself and never bother to get over the counter medicine. It's too expensive so I just suffer year round but this year it's been really bad.

We are currently wasting time in Louisville. My friend's dad was supposed to fly in at noon but his plane got delayed due to weather on the far end and now it looks like he won't get in until 8pm or so. We had lunch at the California Pizza Kitchen and are now heading to a bookstore to waste a little more time. Eventually we will head to our final destination. Which is Cincinnati OH. Long day ahead but at least we aren't the ones stuck on a plane!

What was the 24 hour event at Disney?

I meant to get started on my entry last night, but we went out and then we got home and the spousal person discovered that his car, a stick shift, wouldn't shift.

So he was upset and anxious and stressed about that and about figuring out schedules and how to get people to work and where to take it and how to get it there and how much it might cost, and I couldn't write fiction with all that stress and emotional tension in the room.

So I am going to take my PPI, chill for 30 minutes, eat, take a shower, and then get started. I do have an idea and most of a plot in mind, so that's good.

I could do nonfiction about how being "leet" in the Sims community actually sucked a lot and was quite psychologically damaging, but well - I've talked enough about the hate secrets, really.

Was it crowded? The twenty-four events at Disneyland are always packed so we never go.

We got there at 9, and were turned back at the parking lot where they diverted us to Epcot. It took until after 10:30 to get into the park!

Once we got there, it was "holiday weekend" type of busy. But parts of the park were sparse by 2 am or so.

I know Disneyland is much smaller though, so they tend to hit capacity sooner.

We're trying to do ALL the things, but the kids are not having it, so instead we did HALF the things and now my husband is cleaning out the car and I'm playing with the little one inside.
Sounds like a sweet deal, except the little one has a shitty diaper :(

My weekend has been full of Pokemon playing. This weekend is the Nashville area Battle Roads mini-marathon. We're pretty lucky, here in the capitol of TN, to have three separate leagues within our greater area. Which means we often get a lot of chances to play when things like Cities and Battle Roads come around (not to mention regular weekly League). Usually, it's my husband and my eldest playing while I sit back and watch my youngest. This weekend, I decided that I wanted a chance to play instead. It happens every once in awhile. (Usually once a mini-marathon.) This weekend, however, I decided that I wanted to play not only once but twice. I lost most of my games, but I had a BLAST playing. I really wish I could play tomorrow as well, but it's only fair I give my husband a shot. He's a better player than I am. And he needs a break from Pete. But I'll be there, rooting for both him and my eldest, as well as all my other friends playing tomorrow.

Not a traditional way to spend Memorial Day, but I couldn't have imagined doing anything better!
