Green Room - Week 7 - Day 1

Good morning. Or the frozen version of one at any rate.

We've got a Work Room: http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/401091.html

Goodbyes from last night/a tie-breaker: http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/400495.html

and of course a new topic: http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/400665.html

That's MY list. I'm not sure what Santa is going to do with it though!

What is Santa going to do with YOUR list?

FRIST!

Dang, I mispelled it!

Goooooood morning. I'm off to impulse buy a car today. La-la-la.

Freezing rain with snow on top will make the drive to work this morning ...interesting, to say the least.

Nothing. Because this year I am not having a list. All the money I have is pooled into my trip to the US mid-January ^_^.

I'm kind of hoping he'll turn it into a paper craft zeppelin that flies! It'll be of more use that way.

Santa is going to give my list to my parents who are going to say "Are you kidding me?"

As I posted in my journal, it's just my luck I was eliminated the same week the cat bows out.

My list today has me going to a dance studio to look at their network, and taking my little one to the doctor, she's not feeling good :(.

Santa doesn't get a list from me this year. I've got everything that I need - a loving husband, a home, friends, cats, ridiculous amounts of DVDs, and of course the Internet. Anything that Santa wants to bring me would be welcome, but there's nothing in particular that I want.

I'm going to drive up to Cincinnati this evening for a holiday gathering with friends, so a wish for good weather would be much appreciated on the 90 minute drive!

I'm not even thinking about Santa right now. I'm heading back to Australia for Christmas in two days and I've too busy to even figure our what Santa might give my sons for Christmas. Will probably have to do some shopping in Australia. Oh well, at least gifts have been bought for most of those outside my immediate family whom I need to buy for.

Writing my first screenplay for this season of Idol at the moment. Wanting to finish it tonight but it's taking on a life of its own and as such may end up too long that no one will bother reading it. Oh well, at least I'm enjoying it.

Maybe Santa can burn it to keep warm. It is too effing cold outside. SO OVER IT.

I survived traveling to and from back to back meetings all day yesterday in the freezing cold. Today I get to do it all over again to get stuff installed on my laptop. *bundles up*

TAAAAA-DAAAAH!!! I am here! :prances into the GR:

It's funny, every year I have to e-mail a What Santa Could Bring Me list for my extended family's Secret Santa. Some years it's easier because there are specific things I want, like the winter jacket from 2-3 years ago.

This year, however, I was totally stumped. I ended up listing gift cards to certain places and maybe a bathrobe, but really, unless you want to give me $ for household stuff, there's nothing specific I want/need.

It's a very weird feeling.

I admire that kind of fortitude.

[identity profile] phoenixejc.livejournal.com 2010-12-15 02:13 pm (UTC)(link)
And how excited are you to be visiting?? :) YAY!!!!

Santa is going to cry at how much I have to do within a week is what he is going to do.

Caroline is home sick today and that basically kills the day for any other projects which is fine because her health comes first.

I, too, am OVER IT. I live in The South partly to avoided temperatures in the teens. Yeah, that plan? Not working so well.

[identity profile] kehlen-crow.livejournal.com 2010-12-15 02:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I am beyond being excited. I'm terrified :-). Because of the play obviously.

[identity profile] phoenixejc.livejournal.com 2010-12-15 02:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Obviously! :) I am excited for you. Every post I read about it, I can tell how much you are anticipating it.

[identity profile] phoenixejc.livejournal.com 2010-12-15 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Apparently Santa took my list and checked off every item and then added some! There are so many gifts under our tree with my name!!! :) I had no idea I was so good this year. It certainly was not intentional. Maybe I was just really good at being naughty. ;)

[identity profile] xo-kizzy-xo.livejournal.com 2010-12-15 02:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I heard on the news last night that some farmers down there were using some sort of warm air contraptions to make sure their harvests don't freeze. It strikes as quite bizarre that temps can get that low down there :boggle:

Santa came early when he broght me an excellent new clothes dryer! Seriously people, an effective clothes dryer in Europe is nearly ILLEGAL. There's some kind of continent wide pride in having wet clothes hanging all over the place. Another favorite is having a combo washer/dryer in one machine, which sounds like a good idea until you realize it's kind of like a sofabed- doing neither task very well.

[identity profile] phoenixejc.livejournal.com 2010-12-15 02:30 pm (UTC)(link)
It is very unusual. It is literally the coldest December on record. It's crazy. I'm used to wearing shorts this time of year, and today it's supposed to snow! WTH?

[identity profile] dreamchaser.livejournal.com 2010-12-15 02:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I hope you make it to work safely. *crosses fingers*

[identity profile] phoenixejc.livejournal.com 2010-12-15 02:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Sofabeds are wretched.

[identity profile] dreamchaser.livejournal.com 2010-12-15 02:31 pm (UTC)(link)
*sends good weather wishes your way*

[identity profile] dreamchaser.livejournal.com 2010-12-15 02:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm over the cold and winter, too!

Stay warm :)
