Week 4 - Results and Tie-Breaker

I don't think anyone will argue with me that this week was tough. Losing people at the end of it? That doesn't get any easier.

Especially when the people leaving are clearly talented. Some of them I've barely gotten to know, but saw a lot of promise in their work. Others I'm rather personally fond of them.

The one hope is that they will continue on with the Home Game and take advantage of the opportunity to try to get back into the thick of things when that door opens.

Until then, we have to say goodbye to

and

Obviously that doesn't cover everyone. We are missing an elimination from Tribe 5. That is because it ended with our first tie of the season between

and

What happens now is a tie-breaker. They both have until Tomorrow, Wednesday Dec 1st at 10pm EST to submit an entry on the tie-breaker topic. (Linked to this thread)

The topic? Glad you asked. It's Take a Chance!

Good luck to both of you.

See, I really want to believe that's true, but it doesn't seem that way so far. I don't know, it's just hard seeing such great entries being voted out.

I think it's hard when there are so many entries to read, still. It will make less of a difference later.

That's true! It's really overwhelming opening up the poll and seeing so many entries. It takes a whole night for me to get through them.

It really all evens out in the end. You'll see by the top 75 that everyone is rocking it - even the people who you didn't think were rocking it at first. People improve over time or they get eliminated. And even then they get eliminated.

The point is, people get eliminated.

Totally. I can't wait to see everyone progress. I'm blown away each week by the entries, and it's only the fourth round! I can't even imagine as people improve and get deeper in.

Makes me think of MXC: "Don't get eliminated!"

definitely in the beginning people can have an off entry and still make it through because of their friends list or because people are voting for them knowing how good other of their entries are.

However later on it makes less of a difference. Also keep in mind it's all relative, what you think is great, other people might not relate to. I know it's been mentioned that being way out in front can put a target on your back, but that doesn't mean that people want to take out good players. What I think happens, is people see someone way out there in votes and week after week think, "How did they get so many votes? They don't deserve it." And often those people get voted out late in the game during a closed contestant only vote or a gatekeeper vote.

Oh, of course, it's all about personal taste, no doubt. Like I said, it's all really interesting and fun to watch how it goes down, it's surprising and enjoyable. I'm also surprised by how into it I've gotten! I really look forward to reading entries.
