It's also the last day of the month, which means it's the final day of that National Writing Dohickey. Did you "win"? Place? Show?

Is anyone signing up for that National Authors Movement: Beyond Language Arts group? From what little I know of them they seem to have more outreach programs during the holidays.

I did not NaNo this year nor, sadly, have I ever. I've never had a long-running plot that I thought would be good to kill myself over.

However, on this day, I have a much better thing than NaNo, in that it is my birthday and, so, I get to eat tons of ice cream, which is a lot like winning.

I'm being very effective these last two days or so. :) Lots of art done yesterday. Today I'm going to finish NaNo (in the sense of getting 50k), do some art, do my Flash assignment that I've been neglecting...

I didn't 'win' Nano, but since I've done that five times before I'm not really bothered by it. The point this year was to make headway on two projects I've been sitting on, and I've done that, so huzzah! Now to keep up with them, since I would like to be published before I die.

Morning. My work assignment got canceled today. Not pleased about that! Need $ to pay for replacement of broken stuff! It was my microwave and my garage door! The door is split. Lucky we didn't have people, pets or cars in there when it began to come apart. Worker guys come tomorrow to install the new one. AW

I did/won NaNo five years in a row (2002-2006) and stopped. Now I cheer on everyone else who does it. Which means you all better win and not disappoint my dreams of living vicariously through you all.

Good work on the tribe reconfiguration. I admit I'm feeling a little nervous now. OH TENSION.

In other news, I am dead last in my poll. Sad day. But I am happy with what I wrote, so that's all that matters.

If any of you pray or send good thoughts or energy, Malia is a 9-year-old girl (my friend's neice) currently nearing the end of a year long battle with Stage IV Wilm's (kidney) cancer. Pray, send energy/thoughts that her pain and nausea are controlled and that she is not afraid. Also for her parents, aunt, and younger sisters (who are 7 and 3) as they try to cope as well.

I did both! And a webcomic! Because I'm crazy! (Also I discovered I can write 2000+ words/hour if I actually sit down on my ass and actively write for that hour. Which I'm bad at. But 2000 words/hour is only 33.3 WPM.)

I did put the other webcomic on hiatus for November, though.
