Green Room - Week 27 - 2

Good morning.

There is a run off going on: http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/343024.html that is likely to take your breath away. So don't go there if you like to breathe!!

If you have an extra air tank, or are just a risk taker in general, feel free though - because you certainly should read their entries and vote for your favorites!!

I'm hoping to have a good weekend in front of me. But what about YOU? Fun, Fun, Fun in the Sun, Sun, Sun? Or Lost in Time, Lost in Space and Meaning?

I completely agree with your villains. I was thinking [livejournal.com profile] hightekvagabond for sure too for obvious reasons. I think he would enjoy that as well. I think [livejournal.com profile] superhappytime might make a good villain too. He just seems like the type.

[livejournal.com profile] java_fiend is a total sweetheart and would make a good hero. But I know he has some villain in him as well, just lurking beneath the surface (read his response to my comment on this thread to see what I mean).

[livejournal.com profile] hug_machine makes me think hero too. She's just so sweet! I agree with both your good nods as well.

[livejournal.com profile] superhappytime can sometimes be a pot stirrer, but he's more of social misfit than a villain, in my eyes. And [livejournal.com profile] java_fiend has a mischievous streak, but I think that's different from a villainous streak!

Totally agree on [livejournal.com profile] hug_machine. :)

True about the villains, but it depends on how "villainous" they have to be to qualify as a villain too. I wasn't thinking they had to be *that* bad because honestly, Idol would have way more heroes than villains if that were the case!

And don't let [livejournal.com profile] java_fiend fool you. He can be pretty villainous at times! (lol mainly I am teasing him in case he reads this).

But yeah, the bad guys are harder to find than the good ones honestly. Then again, I haven't been around as long as some!

I'd be interested in hearing how people defined "villain" for LJI purposes. I think for the most part, people are so diplomatic in this game that anyone who chooses *not* to be diplomatic, or to be strategic or cutthroat, becomes a villain. Then there are people who are offensive and/or purposely incendiary, and the people who bully others.

In a game where we discuss the "ethics" of recommending people's entries because it leaves some entries out, I think we have a long way to go before we have any villains like Russell or Parvati.

And I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing... but at the same time, there is some appeal to having at least one character in the game that everybody loves to hate, and I think we lack that.

You never know!

I have to say, I'm curious about [livejournal.com profile] gnomeangel, and what the fall out was after she eliminated [livejournal.com profile] popfiend. Aside from the announcement post. Was there backlash? Did she get snubbed and/or eliminated after that?

Ha! She certainly told you! :-p
