LJ IDOL WRAP PARTY/FRIENDING FRENZY!

The doors to the Green Room are now locked, however if you'll just walk this way over to the Banquet Hall. . . it's not much further I promise.

Ah, here we are.

The decorations look nice and the catering company seems to have put out a spread worthy of ewok_626's standards.

You'll no doubt notice the tables, chairs, comfy couches spread across the room as well as the sizeable dance floor. It's because this isn't a normal "Wrap Party".

It's also a FRIENDING FRENZY!!!!!

One of the (many) things that I love about Idol is the relationships that are formed in the trenches as the season progresses. But quite a few of them this time around started at last year's Wrap Party/Friending Frenzy!

I, personally, have made more friends this season than any in the past.

I think that holds true for most of you as well.

That said, enjoy the space - mingle and kick back. Introduce yourself to people, and by all means, TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO STOP BY!!!!! You never know if that newbie you mention it to might be the next LJ Idol!!!!

Obviously, no smoking indoors, soliciting or flash photography and keep your arms and legs inside the Banquet Hall at all times.

It's our last day together in Season Four - let's have some fun!

wow. i have a strange memory. I remember you having said that your first language was ASL. I remembered it because my son was speech delayed and we were doing ASL signs with him (specifically as opposed to a baby version). Now he is 2 years and he signs and speaks at the same time, but he won't speak if he can't say the word right and knows the sign.

Yep, your memory isn't that horrible... that is me, the one whose first language is ASL. Although, my English is much better than it was a few years ago with the lack of education I received....

Well, the Idol experience was truly entertaining. I'm so glad to have gotten to meet so many awesome people and to have had so many pretty words to read. I believe I'm jumping on the bandwagon of probably-not-playing-next-time, but who knows?

Most definite congrats to everyone, especially chite. It was a joy to see you win, and against very worthy opponents.

The earliest it will start is September.

I'm pretty sure (haven't started "the plan" officially yet, and it could change depending on how many people show up) but I'm looking at 6 months being the max. 5 1/2 seems to be the breaking point for most people - and I *want* it to get there, because it makes people dig in and show what they have. But 7 1/2 seems to have broken a couple of people in the process. Which is the opposite of the goal.
