It's almost the weekend already. I need to work more on a freelance article that is due soon. I just keep hitting my head against the wall on it, coming up with new angles to see what is going to work. Right now it just looks like five different pieces. :)

Hopefully I can manage to fix it so it's a little more coherent.

I've been working on the the laudatory reviews for my Great American Novel, due in bookstores soon. "Stunning!" - NY Times. "Destined to be a classic!" - LA Times. "Not to be missed!" - various paid celebrity endorsers.

And in my spare time, I'm still working on my entry. I hope to get to the "finishing touches" later today.

I'm working on a new approach to WORDS. Mulling it over. But right now it's all about Idol and my paid writing.

Life? I'm ready for spring to spring properly.

Umm, at the moment? Trying to keep my head up. The last few weeks have been stressful, and I know I owe a bunch of people comments/thanks...

I posted my entry late last night and promptly realized that it was full of typos, which I'm now slowly fixing. Eek.

I HAVE QUIT MY JOB.

First, good luck to everybody still left in the competition. I am looking forward to reading what everyone has for this week.

Second, I have been working on myself lately and on putting together something for my future. I submitted things for publication to some journals and I'm supposed to hear back by May. I also applied to some post bacc programs so that I can make the transition to med school easier. But that meant that I had to choose between a very fulfilling job and what I want to do with the rest of my life.

I have not been happier at work than since the moment I told everyone I was leaving in May, so I am choosing to take this as a good sign that I made the right choice.

Entertaining the Mothership and trying to secure senior housing for her that's affordable, acceptable and not far from me. It's a tall order.
I am also prepping for my Indiana Adoptee Network presentation in another week! Wooo!
