Green Room - Week 25 - Day 6

Thank you to everyone who has commented over the last couple of days with your thoughts on Idol. I assure you that I've balled them all up and thrown them in the trash. ;)

Or maybe I'm considering what has been said and what I think will work with Season 10 (or just going forward in general)

It's one of those. I always forget which one!

Today is the last day to vote to decide who is going to be in the finale: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/938897.html

Before that poll closes up - want to advocate for any particular entries?

***

What is it that is going on with your life right now that you really want to share with other people? What has caught your interest?

This entry looked so lonely with no comments on it. Too bad I have nothing to say, since I just left work and am about to fall into a coma for the next 8 hours.

I woke up at four this morning, because I kept hearing weird thumping noises from outside. My imagination ran wild (the way it's prone to do in the dark) and I finally crept downstairs with my phone in one hand and a solid, hefty flashlight in the other. The noises were mostly coming from the back of the house, so I went into the room at the very bottom of the house that looks out on our back porch, and discovered that two adolescent foxes were playing chase - jumping over each other, tackling each other, rolling around yipping, then running as fast as they could around and around and under the porch to catch each other.

I really should have thought of foxes when I heard weird noises - Mama Fox gave birth to six babies under our porch early this year, but I thought they'd all moved out! Watching their antics was pretty great, but foxes don't make super awesome neighbors (the weird noises they make are only part of it - having voracious carnivores under one's back porch is a little... smelly). I'm wondering how long these two will stay, or if they just came back to play in their old stomping grounds. They still look like puppies, and act like them too.

Kitsune stories are going to come out of all of this. One of these days. In the meantime, I'm tired today, and that's why.

If you're going to lose sleep, at least that's a fun reason. :)

Honestly, all the entries this week are fabulous and I love them all.

That said, [livejournal.com profile] orockthro's weird little story (http://orockthro.livejournal.com/47182.html) being at the bottom of the poll baffles me. It's neat! I'm certain I'm preaching to the choir here, but definitely check it out.

Is it too late to throw out another Idol idea for the future? :D

ALL my ideas are good ideas! Just ask me!

i've joined more than two seasons of Idol, so I can't imagine what ideas you could mean!

Then I've made THREE good decisions, because the hubby is quite a catch. :D

I'm in the Way of Advocating!

I enjoyed all of the entries this week, but was especially impressed with[livejournal.com profile] orockthro's story. I'm not always into longer works, but this one kept me reading and interested and wondering and anticipating and second-guessing right up to the very end. If you haven't read it, please do--give yourself a treat and enjoy.

I'm gearing up for teaching—doing two different modules this summer, going to be on my own for the first three weeks of one of them! (It's an intensive, forty hours a week course in experimental design...so, yeah, gonna be weird.)

I'm looking forward to it, though—or looking forward to being through and on the other side, at least.
