So... progress on the life front. I'm ready for Christmas - I built a computer for my mom and my best friend over the weekend- that was the hard Christmas stuff (well, that and making penuche). I've decided on an apartment and as long as nothing falls through, I'm good to go there.

Much of my stuff is packed and while things are by no means settling down, I'm in OK shape- I'll be much more tired by the 2nd of January, methinks. Lots of crap to deal with, but I feel ok.

I can't wait to give my best friend Derek the computer I built for him! It's awesome! And the diamond earrings I bought for my girlfriend Jessi (stargazerkisses)! This is going to be an awesome couple of days, if I can just relax!

I'd be at work otherwise. I made the mistake of stopping in there yesterday and my boss nearly tackled me. Between the massive throngs of customers and the ineptness of some of my coworkers, she's more than ready for the loony bin.

But alas, I have to go in there later to pick up stuff for my world-famous holiday spinach dip *groan*

I'll be at work in a little less than an hour. We have to figure out what is going on with imafarmgirl's computer. She installed the new version of the screen reader and Ka-BOOM! Arg. So hopefully we can fix it. That is the project for the day other than possibly seeing a movie and then doing the family Christmas Eve thing.

Even though I have to work today, I get a lot of days off, too. At least this entire week. As for December 30, 31 and January 1, I'm not really sure because my schedule for that week isn't up yet. If all goes well, I shall be returning January 2 as well. :^)

I had to request it months in advance though. And then I will probably not take anymore extra days off for months and months.

Be careful. The roads are bad. Last night they were total crap, and I was almost in an accident when I was driving home from Cleveland. The interstates are fine, but 224/local roads are abysmal. Even this morning, they're still not that great.

Nope. I had originally taken the day off but the company decided to give it to us off as a holiday so I got my PTO time back. I wasn't about to miss putting Teddy to bed the first Christmas he's able to get into it!

I'm so happy that I'll be off until January 2nd. Believe me, I need this break.

Still, that didn't stop me from being up at six a.m. this morning. I had to finish up my Christmas shopping, and I'm still not done. I have to return to Wal-Mart's photo lab in an hour. Then it's on to wrapping presents, cleaning the house, and helping LSD cook.
