i was having wifi issues all day yesterday, then by the time it decided to behave i was exhausted, so i ended up missing the deadline :\ would i be disqualified if i posted in a little while today? (i realize probably not because it was optional, but i always want to double check these things).

Yeah, that would be fine. As you said, it's an optional week.

In a regular week, it wouldn't be "disqualified", it just wouldn't be in the poll and you'd have to use a bye.

It's early on the first day of pretend voting and I've already read half of the entries. (for real, not pretend reading).

I said i wasn't going to keep a spreadsheet this mini season. I wonder if I'll be able to function without one.

I told myself that too, but I made a spreadsheet of the contestants with checkmarks as to whether or not I'd read their intro. It helped! :)

If you have a Google account, you can save a copy for personal use. I don't know if it'll be helpful or not, but that's what I've been using, just so I don't have to worry about stuff bouncing back and forth between my work and home computer.

It doesn't have everyone on it yet, just because we're not quite at 100, but it's got everyone that's currently commented on the sign-up post listed in it.

Specifically: no pressure, don't use anything if you don't want to! But there are options, even if you don't have Excel or OpenOffice or whatnot.

(And to anyone else reading this: that sheet is public, feel free to use a copy of it if you like. :) )
