Good morning!

I'm happy to announce that, starting today, LJ Idol will be accepting the Syrian refugees that everyone else is turning away!

Granted, we will be forcing them to write entries - and they can only stay as long as they can escape elimination.

But it's better than nothing!

It's been a crazy week

...and it's not a full moon! Yesterday a sub just walked off the job and left me holding the bag. I managed and got to look like a rock star, but the lady just up and ditched class. I'm hired as the aide for four kids in there. I'm not the head teacher.
Her bad= My time to shine.
The Mothership's surprise going away party was a huge success. 23 ppl came. I got her good! Look out Tampa friends...She arrives on Sunday. Stay off the roads! LOL

How's this week going?

Well I watched End of the Tour last night. It was a brilliant movie that made me want to write, but equally think... "that's the fucking point, I'm just going to die alone anyway!"... so there's that, but if I didn't think that way I have nothing to write about.

My mom's boyfriend is in the hospital and while I'm not concerned, she's a nervous wreck and I'm an empath so it's messing with my bio-rhythms and making me more depressed then need be.

also Supergirl is awesome and so is the Adventure Time special STAKES and I like ribs and I miss brownies and coffee is good.

Is that enough? Did I say enough?

I breached my own Facebook policy of never talking about anything serious because I was sorta fuming and now of course it's looking like one of my aunts might disown me because I tend to think it's worth the risk of there maybe possibly being 1 hidden terrorist in a group of terrified homeless refugees, so we should maybe trust our government's vetting process and ability to keep an eye on them while we welcome them with open arms and do what we can to help.

Though I do have to admit that any time I say "let's trust the government" I shuffle my feet awkwardly, even when I'm sitting down.

My Intro is up, my brain is fried (the "write-every-day-in-November" challenge keeps me up wayyyy too late), and someone brought a caramel/brownie concoction into work this morning, so guess what I ate for breakfast instead of real food?

So, "yay" to the first part and "Grown-Up Fail" for the other two. \o?

Workwise, I'm trying to make a spreadsheet and my code agree with each other, and neither of them is talking. Probably time to break out the klieg lights and the rubber hose. Or perhaps the comfy chair?

My week so far is pretty good! I presented at work today and my boss, like, smiled the entire time. HE NEVER DOES THAT. Apparently he's excited about my results and whatnot. :)

Otherwise...I'm behind in my "write every day" thing, but I'm still doin' it, so that's rad.

And I'm on a team! So that's also rad. :D
