Green Room - Week 39 - Day 2

Happy Survivor day!!

Yes, that's right. A new season of my favorite show starts today. (one of my other favorite shows ended last night, but I haven't watched it yet)

Actually two of my favorite shows start tonight, since the Amazing Race is also on!

What does that mean to you? Well, it means there is some great TV on. But it's also has an interesting side-note to it. Survivor Season 28 was still airing when we started.

It's now Survivor Season 30! :)

(they have two seasons a year, one that starts in the late winter/early spring and one that starts in the fall)

So anyone following both our show and theirs has experienced quite a bit!

The new topic is up: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/840895.html as we steer this thing into the side of a cliff for a crash landing... oh, I mean, safely touchdown on a landing strip... sorry, I always get those confused!

We also have the Home Game: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/841010.html There is already one newbie there, and hopefully more will be joining her, so I am actively encouraging people to check out the entries posting there and comment to them. Show them a little love as we make our way to 20,000 entries!

20,000 entries? That is something to be proud of.

I'm looking forward to both my favorite reality shows! I like that Survivor keeps changing it up and keeping it fresh - I am intrigued by the White Collar, Blue Collar, No Collar tribes. I guess it depends on what they class as "no collar." On the one hand, winners have often been connivers, so my hubby thinks a White collar would have a good shot; blue collar might be better at physical tasks, since they are likely used to hard work and getting their hands dirty, but you just can never tell! And of course the No Collar folks are probably very creative and have that go-getter attitude, assuming they aren't all "hippie-dippy". I haven't researched the cast as yet, so I'm just going by generalities here.

Regardless, anyone who goes on Survivor without first teaching themselves the basics of starting a fire without matches, and learning now to cook with minimal tools over a campfire deserves what they get!

If I were in better physical shape I would love to do The Amazing Race, but for now I will just watch from my comfy chair!

I thought it was that we were very carefully and deliberately steering off the side of the cliff.

Whatever, I'm out of the car. ;)
