Green Room - Week 4 Day 4
Good morning! How is everyone today?
LJ Idol Tech Support wishes she could have taken a sick day. (Stupid cold.) Our fabulous host was running late this morning and asked me to post the Green Room. Go me!
What's going on in your lives today? I've seen a lot of buzz about the debate last night. I didn't get to watch because I was at my other job.
What's going on in my life today? Well, I arranged to work last night so that I could have tonight off so I can watch the Packers
That's about it for me. I'm off to update my poll tables with the latest entries.
Speaking of entries... post them here! The deadline is coming up fast! Don't make me post your name tomorrow morning. :-)
Envy of anyone caught up with reading.
I only read entries at night, disconnecting my laptop from its docking station and joining him in the living room. We can watch TV together that way.
It is going to be a long, long night...
Re: Envy of anyone caught up with reading.
ETA: On the other hand, I just finished counting 'em up and I have74 entries left unaccounted for, eg, potentially 74 more articles to read. o.O
Submissions do seem to be coming in more slowly on this one...
Re: Envy of anyone caught up with reading.
I also have only 26 of the 51 submitted entries read. I'm really behind on this one (but I think that's 'cause it took longer for me to write, and we have less time).
Tonight, I hope to get caught up (but by then there will be at least 15 more submitted, I'm sure).

I suspect it is because it is almost an open-topic, so there is more chance for creativity and self expression (even though this is the case for all topics, it doesn't always feel that way).
Still... reading "I had a hard time coming up with an article" or "I almost took a bye" is guaranteed to annoy me if I see it in the first paragraph. Put in an aside or footnote at the end, it hasn't affected my evaluation at all.
First impressions of a written piece is just as important to me as the final content.
