Green Room - Week 7 - Day 7

This late Green Room is brought to by the letters "dentist appointment" and the numbers "just found out that I need a root canal", and your local PBS station.

It is also brought to by a generous grant from the Poll Foundation, bringing Eliminations to you since 2006. http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/670715.html

Oh no! I hate it when dentists have bad news. Maybe the root canal won't be bad, though - my stepdad has had a couple and said he was better off after because the pain-causing nerves were gone. Thinking good thoughts for you!

In other news, I have become completely addicted to Teen Wolf. The TV shoe, I mean, not the movie. It is kind of ridiculous and totally fun and my love of it is all tumblr's fault. It seems to be all I can think about right now.

Yeah, I've has three root canals, and the pain that necessitated the root canals was way worse than the pain after. They just gave me extra-strong ibuprofen, and I was fine the next day. The worst part is really just sitting there listening to the drill.

Now adays they they tell you to just piggy back acetaminaphrine and motrin even for a broken arm or high fever.
Works as well acetaminaphrine +
Sans the risk.

I actually did that before one of my root canals, on a pharmacist's recommendation (I had a very painful abscess), and it worked pretty well. I stopped afterwards, because the ibuprofen the dentist gave me was a higher dosage than the OTC I'd been taking, and I didn't want to over-do it.

I first got the recommendation about ten years ago when my youngest had a fever spike 105.
