If you click on the topic post, there's a link at the bottom that says, "Stream This." ( http://www.livejournal.com/manage/subscriptions/entry.bml?journal=therealljidol&itemid=654975 If you're logged in, that should take you straight to the page, though.) Once there, there's a list of options; the top one on mine is, "Someone comments on 'Topic - Week 2' in therealljidol." Beside it, there's a series of checkboxes; select the box under "Email" to have LJ send you an email every time a comment is posted. (You can also sign up for emails for the entries themselves in this same page.)

("Inbox" sends it to the LJ Inbox, where you get your PMs; "IM" will send it to your IM, but it only works on Jabber/XMPP; and "LJ alerts" is for Cyrillic users.)
