Vote - Week 2

A few words from [livejournal.com profile] clauderainsrm:

Welcome to Week 2!

This week was all about Deconstruction and from the entries over the past weeks I think it's pretty clear that this is an extremely talented group.
This is going to another difficult decision on choosing what entries to support.

Fortunately, you can vote for as many of them as you want!! Make sure that you leave comments as well to the entries that you loved, letting them know!

The contestant with the entry that the fewest votes from each tribe will be eliminated. Given that there is a new tribe this week, that means there will be one more person leaving us this time around.

The poll will be closing Tuesday Nov 16th at 9pm EST

Good luck to everyone!

Correction: [livejournal.com profile] emo_snal's entry should be http://emo-snal.livejournal.com/147267.html

I was looking for a pen and paper the other night after reading an entry that I really thought was intelligent but I was too lazy to move. Now I'm going though links though, and the ones I've already read are coming back to memory, but it still must be easier to keep a list.

Maybe It's time to just try out dragon diction on my iphone...it's a speech to text application and I could just say the user name, although that might be too complicated for the program to understand on second thought. hmm.

[identity profile] stormkitty.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that was my reaction, too, when I saw I was in the new tribe. Hmmm.

So if the count in my Idol folder on my ipod's mail client is right, I've got about 100 or so entries left to read when I get home. I think instead of trying to do it Sunday night, I'll catch up during the day on Monday.

Good luck everyone!

[identity profile] cacophonesque.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
Well, there is that.

But I still feel so rusty on this whole "read a ton of stuff" thing.

Just for any who might be curious like I was, I counted the 'active' (non-bye) entries in each tribe -- these were the numbers, assuming I got them right:

Tribe 1 -- 43 entries.

Tribe 2 -- 22 entries.

Tribe 3 -- 56 entries.

Tribe 4 -- 31 entries.

Tribe 5 -- 21 entries.

I keep telling myself to not even look at the votes yet, just read entries and put my votes in. I look anyway though, and keep watching if I go up. Goal #1: get more vote than people that took a bye week.

[identity profile] courtney-ke.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
Well... 3 of 5 done. *phew*

[identity profile] courtney-ke.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Remember the peeps who were in danger of being kicked last week? They got to pick two people each (I think..?) to form a new tribe.

[identity profile] dizzy-writing.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Interesting :) Now to decide if I should read from the biggest tribe first and get it out of the way, or start with the smallest so I can feel better about completely reading a whole tribe quick.

(Psst, Tribe Three rules! We're gonna eat tribes two and five, and have room left over for dessert!)

[identity profile] courtney-ke.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
I read them as I do each poll (since there are links right by there name). For people I've read before, I recognize the story and decide whether to vote or not. Spreadsheets might be handy, but sounds like too much work to me.

[identity profile] vaguelyclear.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
Oh man, so many entries. Damn my without-warning hectic week preventing me from reading progressively :\

[identity profile] pixiebelle.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I remember. They got to pick up to 5. I just didn't realize I got picked and couldn't find my name at first....then it hit me they picked me :)

Which I am so very curious who picked me now!

[identity profile] pixiebelle.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
I'm very curious who picked me. Interesting, but scary at the same time. Since I went from one small tribe to an even smaller tribe.

[identity profile] pixiebelle.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
I'm pretty nervous myself. Lots of good people were pulled to that tribe and with it so small, it's scary business....

[identity profile] shadows-of.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
i know what you mean. i had a brilliant thought going on with the topic.... i just could not get it together. i feel horrible cause my tribe is the one of second chances this week and i just.... blew it. :(

second week is full of pressure.

[identity profile] lawchicky.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
Same here! I freaked out when I didn't see my name, but then realized I was chosen for the new tribe. It looks like there was a strategy to move people from last season into the new tribe. Very curious indeed!!

[identity profile] lawchicky.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I broke down and started a speadsheet this season. There are just too many to keep up with otherwise.

[identity profile] beeker121.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
This is how I do it too. That way I have a record of who I've voted for but it's less intense than the big spread some folks use.

[identity profile] lawchicky.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I'm very curious about the strategy there, especially since I was one of the people chosen to move tribes!

[identity profile] roina-arwen.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
Obvbiously, anything is possible with Idol! :)

I looked up "deconstruction" on Wiki and was like "Ummm... well then..." so I know what you mean.

[identity profile] roina-arwen.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
You stats people - always full of interesting tidbits! I stand (ok, sit) corrected.

[identity profile] xo-kizzy-xo.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
That's what I've been doing :pats paper and pen next to keyboard:

[identity profile] kungfufighting.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
A lot of people, myself included, are really ill this week. Half of my college is out sick, so I'm not surprised. I hate to do it myself as well so early, but better to do it now than throw something together at the last minute this morning when I was finally well enough to see straight. :P

[identity profile] xo-kizzy-xo.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
I'm looking at most of those byes being "people who forgot to submit their entry on time". I know a couple of them are actually taking a bye, though.
