I have been posting "random facts" about the Top 17 here and there, add to those that I went to Week 9 to check out where everyone was placed when broken down by the size of their friends lists. Tribe 1 was the group with the smallest. Tribe 3 was the largest.
Tribe 1 - 3
Tribe 2 - 9
Tribe 3 - 5

So the "middle" of FL size clearly has made up some major ground.

The ever-beloved deza mentioned this in her LJ as a signal boost, and although it's late in the day, hopefully people are still reading.

One of LJ's own aqeldroma lost everything, including her birds, in a fire.

The Red Cross has put her up in a hotel for the week.

I like seeing the random facts! But there really haven't been a ton of them. (Hint, hint, Gary: I want more facts!)

Since I'm currently unemployed I've been more likely to sleep in, which is really cutting into my opportunities to be first. Bummer. Not enough of a bummer to start waking up earlier, though, apparently.

Hmmm... I don't even know!

What about the breakdown of earlier tribes (particularly the ones what were chosen by contestants--since it'd be interesting to see who had the best instincts early on).

Really, though, I just love seeing tidbits of information. Data is awesome. Even when it's ultimately trivial/irrelevent.

What does it mean in terms of instinct? I guess that's up to you to decide. After all, if their goal was to survive - only one of the original tribal leaders did it.

Oh I had completely forgotten that talonkarrde88 was one of the tribal leaders! Very neat that he's still around, since if I remember correctly, the tribal leaders were picked based on who had the fewest votes one of the weeks.

Yep. Had the Week 0 poll not been a "test run", sparing them - he would have been one of the very first people eliminated.

Something for people to think about the next time someone posts about "weeding through" the people in early rounds - he "should have been gone" Week 0.

I'd be interested in the demo breakdown if possible by like age (though that I'm sure is impossible) and gender... I thought that there were far more women than men in the game and I'd be curious to see how many of each started the show. It was interesting seeing it's 12-5 in favor of women now...

I could have sworn someone, possible spydie, did breakdown like that early on. I'll have to ask because, yeah, no way and I going back and trying to figure how genders and ages.

I know that twistersflower was the oldest and callistahogan was the youngest. At least of the stated ages.

I also know that there were more men signing up than any other previous season. That said, it was a fraction of the total. I think 5 to 12 says that the guys *gained* ground. But that's just eye-balling it.
