Green Room - Week 26 - Day 10

Like coming across an unfinished highway exit where they didn't put up barriers - this Idol week is looking like it will come down to a dramatic end!

So make sure *your* favorites get to stick around for another week!

Of course, at this point - aren't they all your favorites? *nods* That's what I thought. ;)

Which of them will be part of the Top 21?

We are getting closer and closer to the end. Sooner or later, everyone will be gone. But ah, the game is still afoot!! Enjoy the time that we have left with each other!!

So how is your hump day? Ready to blow it up yet?

Thank you! Does it cost to initially get involved with it? How do you get started? That is my main question right now and I can't seem to find answers.

When I signed up with the TX Gulf Coast chapter, I paid $75 for registration. This goes towards your fundraising, and, as they say, helps to ensure that you're committed.

You get started by going to an information session before the start of a season (http://www.teamintraining.org/firsttimehere/). They give you the big speech about running or cycling or doing triathlons, and they usually bring out their big guns who are super enthused about TNT. A week before training starts, your chapter will have a kickoff party where everyone meets: coaches, mentors, staff, honored teammates. It gives you a chance to meet up with everyone and discuss your concerns with your coaches.

The biggest concerns I have seen as a participant, mentor and honored teammate captain/liaison are fundraising and training. Most people don't get concerned about injuries until further down the line. Fundraising always worries people, and TNT has some great tools and advice to help. I will admit that right now is a little difficult, what with the world imploding and all. But it is doable, and hundreds of participants do it every season.
