Green Room - Week 22 - Weekend Edition

The new topic(s) is up - http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/327314.html and the goodbyes/prepping for the run off is taking place - http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/327062.html

What have *you* been doing with your time? Other than hitting LJ and screaming "WORK!!!!" of course, I think we've all been doing that over the last couple of days!! ;)

Cleaning house, cooking, and watching Torchwood.

Home Game!

I already have my entry ready and posted if anyone's interested. ;)

Also I'm trying to Photoshop some pics and having a hell of a time with it. I must have forgotten everything I learned about Photoshop this semester already.

I've been getting eliminated, apparently.

Also playing LittleBigPlanet on the PS3 since my 3 year old loves the game, even though it's designed for 7+ on the box. Soon I'll be playing Final Fantasy XIII, if my son happens to let me. And I have a bunch of VHS tapes to import in the next 3 months (a promise I made to my husband when he bought me a second 1TB external hard drive since the first is nearly full - ahh the life of a video editor).

Actually yesterday my day was mostly like [livejournal.com profile] supremegoddess1's. I did cleaning, cooking and watched an episode of Torchwood too.

I raised $120 with a car wash, was super happy, came home to find out that USF hasn't been notifying me that the $6 purchases on my ID card (4 of them) weren't going through, and so they tacked on $25 to EACH of them...and then I looked on my email and found out I was in a run off. Plus I'm burnt.

Let's just say today started off great...and I'm determined to end it great. Lol.

Run off entry has been posted, and now I'm going to go relax and catch up on some shows while soaking my poor feetsies.

I've been writing the newest chapter of my fic and having a marathon of Glee in preparation for it coming back on TUESDAY. Who's excited? I AM. *squee*

Nervous about the run-off. Some of my favorite contestants are in there, so I'm anxious to see the results.

I have just been told that the timetable of Welcome To River Street has been moved up. I really, REALLY should be working right now, but I am too excited by the fact that it seems to be happening.

There is a cover now. And lots of words. And my name on things.

Sorry... I will leave you alone now. I have a poem and some other junk to write. I just wanted to come back to my roots for a moment.

I've been avoiding work by hanging out at my best friend's house and making our hairs red with henna. After a lovely dinner made by her daughter, I'm about to head home. Tomorrow will be a long day as I have a lot of work to get done.

I'm also starting to get used to this whole being single again.

LOL! Yah I felt like putting LJ with a sledgehammer yesterday. It was quite annoying! Imagine my life still on dial-up!

It is slowly getting better, but I am told this is going to take at least till Monday when they complete all the transfers LOL.

Just popping in before I head off to bed. Lot of stuff happening at work...I suppose I'll hear more about it tomorrow. Night night!

Crazy! Destiny helped me out at MoCCA today where we sold comics, pies and raffle tickets!

Spent the day at MOCCA helping [livejournal.com profile] zia_narratora with her table. Talked with random comics people. Went out for dinner afterward for yummy yummy dosai. Then went to get tasty beers. Then went to get tasty snacks from the Japanese market.

Now to go to bed soon and do the whole MOCCA thing again tomorrow.

I've been bumming around in Nashville with the hubby - we went to The Parthenon today, after eating a delicious lunch at the Loveless Cafe (as seen on Food Network).

Tomorrow we head back home, after making at stop at Kentucky Down Under, which is Kentucky's version of an Australian petting zoo, I think. =)

My hub had a Hero System game, so I was solo for Saturday. Today, I:

- got up and hung around with my hub before he left
- picked up a quick lunch
- sat in on a container gardening class
- bought a variety of herbs for planting, plus a book on how to do so for my region
- bought a book on the Magdalene
- sat outside reading The Lost Symbol and eating tasty food
- got cupcakes, ate one
- made a quick grocery stop
- chilled in a coffee shop
- crocheted on my project
- came home and cooked veg for the week's meals

WOW. I didn't know it was that much until I listed it all out. I just impressed myself. :)

Good Morning!

It's overcast today, and I'm sitting here at the dining room table with a mug of coffee, trying to forget that I'm working in approximately 2-1/2 hours :p

Er, did lots of laundry, vacuumed and mopped, cleaned up and mowed the yard for the first time this spring, built a 4-drawer dresser (out of the box), compiled a reference list, went to see Clash of the Titans, and then snuggled down for several episodes of "Heavy Metal Taskforce" in which I learned about the 'Slashbuster', an excavation machine capable of leveling over 2000 trees a day. My inner environmentalist cried a little.

Today I am compiling reference lists and thinking about the topics. And possibly making Reeses Bars.

Sandi and I were lamenting that we'd not heard from a couple of friends in a long time, and they texted us about 20 minutes later. :) We went to their house, drank delicious drinks, ate some yummy food, and played with their adorable baby. Then we came home and realized that we had somehow assented to an 8th grade sleepover. We were down one 8th grader but gained two more. Ouch.

I've been looking at my horse. My horse is amazing. Give it a lick - it tastes just like raisins.
